For months, we struggled with our beloved German Shepherd, Chief. We had tried different training programs, each promising results, yet we found ourselves trapped in a frustrating cycle of progress and setbacks. Our home life was divided—on one side, we had an affectionate, submissive dog who loved his ball; on the other, a highly reactive GSD who pulled so hard on walks it felt impossible to control, lunging at dogs and strangers, ignoring commands, and making everyday outings a battle. We reached a point where we had to face an uneasy truth: we couldn’t handle him anymore. The thought of giving up was heartbreaking, but we had exhausted every option. Little by little, the despair lifted, and the possibility of a well-balanced life with Chief felt within reach. Now, nearly three and a half months later, we are living a completely different reality. While we’ve made great strides, this journey isn’t about reaching a quick fix and resting on early success. True progress comes from continued dedication, structure, and effort, and The K9 Encounter has given us the foundation to keep moving forward.

I’ve been a client of The K9 Encounter since October 2024, and I can’t say enough great things about our experience. In March, we added a new puppy, Diesel, to the family, and he’s now following in Marley’s pawsteps with lessons of his own. K9 Encounter has been a game-changer for our dog, Cooper. When we first got him, he was extremely aggressive and unmanageable, especially around other dogs. We honestly didn’t know how we’d keep him. But after working with K9 Encounter for a little, in just a few weeks we were already seeing great improvement. In the past year, Cooper has completely turned around. He’s is very obedient , listens to commands (verbal and hand signals) , and has overcome his aggression toward other dogs. We can now enjoy outings and walks without worrying about him.
