Tamar has helped tremendously and made a huge difference in training our puppy at 14 weeks old. Honestly, we wish we found and used her services earlier. She says that after about 16 weeks of age it is very difficult to train your puppy fully, so we have fully enjoyed and are glad we are "crash training" our dog before it is too late! Tamar has been nothing but kind, direct, and responsive. We love her genuineness and dedication to all dogs, and offers a truly rare and holistic approach to dogs and their training. Plain and simple, Tamar is the absolute best. My wild 8 week old Lab puppy, Bridie, was stressing me out. I was doubting my decision to even get a puppy and was totally unsure what to do when I met Tamar. In short, Tamar saved us. Bridie has made incredible strides forward under Tamar's expert guidance. Bridie started off like many puppies - biting, peeing, scratching, jumping - but EXTRA. She didn't even like to be held and would snap her teeth at anyone who tried. Tamar worked with Bridie and we had her potty trained at 3 months old! She stopped biting, scratching and has turned into a sweet, gentle dog that everyone loves. Wherever we go, people marvel at how calm and sweet Bridie is, how she comes when I call her, how loving she is... Tamar's loving, patient but firm approach has made a huge difference in the lives of Bridie and I. I cannot recommend her strongly enough!

I rescued my puppy at the start of Covid. She full of fear. She preferred hiding under tables than playing with other dogs. With Tamar’s help, she worked her way to playing with Tamar’s dog and today she loves all dogs. She get so excited on the days she gets to play with all sized dogs and to work with Tamar. In our house we call it “school” days and she visibly gets excited. My little one is 8 months old and when I share this with people, they are shocked. They can’t believe that she is not an adult dog. She is quiet, friendly with not just dogs but people (adults, kids, and babies). As a first time pawrent, I did not know where to begin. Tamar’s help has been invaluable. And interesting enough the lessons we have learned are relatable to humans as well as other dogs. I highly recommend The Loved Dog.

Tamar is not simply a dog trainer, she is like no other trainer I've worked with before and having moved around a lot I've worked with several. Working with Tamar did not feel like old fashioned dog training, it was dog "healing", she works on healing whatever trauma your pup has that is causing the problems, be it behavioral issues, anxiety, etc.. Think of her as your family therapist where the sessions revolve around you and your canine. It makes sense, that to work on your relationship with your pup you need family therapy. Tamar will not be teaching you to dominate your dog, you will be taught to "communicate" with your dog. I personally don't think of my dog as my toy, he is a member of our family, he's a live being and deserves to be treated accordingly. I don't think of him any different than a child who can not speak, and in order to communicate with each other we have to learn a common language that both of us understand. Tamar helped us on so many levels. She takes the full picture comprehensive approach instead of narrow focused individual solutions. She even changed his diet, which I'll be honest at first I was surprised to hear that he was "eating bad food" as it was top of the line dog kibble recommended by the veterinarian. But I was there to learn and take her advise and I did. I never thought food would help change behavior... to my surprise, I saw a huge difference in his mood and overall demeanor for the better within a week of having him on the new food. Firstly, I want to point out that he was devouring his meals, which never happened before, he was a very picky eater and not treat motivated at all. (On a side note: He also used to have terrible breath which completely disappeared with the new food! He's only 1y old, he shouldn't have had bad breath, clearly it was digestive) Even the treats she recommended he actually loves and are good for him! Whether you're having problems with your pup or if you are a new pawrent, I highly recommend that you see Tamar. She will be able to profile your dog head to toe and figure out why your dog is doing what he/she is doing and help solve the root cause of the problem so that you can have a happy dog and be a happy proud pawrent yourself. Yes, it might be pricy to have a sessions with her but in my opinion, she's the best behaviorist out there and that's what I was looking for!
