My dog Nala is a 2 y/o sweet husky mix. She has a lot of anxiety which turned into obsessive behaviors including barking, panting and guarding. She was always distracted and not easy to engage in obedience training. I have tried lots of collars and leashes. I even tried anti-anxiety meds from the vet and CBD. None of which worked and in my opinion just intensified her issues. I had to always be on alert to be sure she didn’t get out of the house or she would work herself into a frenzy barking and running in circles around the house. Her anxiety wasn’t just in the yard. She was not a good passenger in the car and unpredictable at the trail for walks. It was hard to watch her reach that level anxiety and feel powerless to help her. I decided to interview trainers to try a stay and train. Corey was responsive, knowledgeable and confident he could help her. Nala stayed for 2 weeks. I wish we had tried this sooner. She uses the place command and our meal time is much improved. She no longer guards the kitchen from our other dog. Walks in the neighborhood are more enjoyable because she stays at my side. With Corey’s coaching, I feel more confident in my ability to manage her on a leash so have taken her to places including dinner. Car rides are also better. She gets excited at first but with a verbal correction, she has been able to settle and lay down on the seat. We have a follow up session to work on her barking in the yard with the use of a new collar. I appreciate his expertise and helping Nala with her anxiety.
