The Modern K9 dog training

After a lot of research and thought. We found Corey and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very patient and listened to what we wanted out of training. We trusted Corey with the training process for our Labradoodle puppy. We sent Gus with Corey for a 2 week training session. We are so glad that we did! Gus is a new and improved pup. Gus now has manners and listens to simple commands. He is doing great at home and we continue to work with him. Corey also took Gus back for boarding so we could take a vacation and have peace of mind. We knew Gus was in great hands and would be well taken care of. I couldn’t thank Corey enough and we greatly appreciate him for all he’s done! I would highly recommend Corey and his services! 🐾

We sent our 9 month old German Shepherd, Ada, to spend three weeks in a board and train for reactivity. Before she left us, she couldn't walk on a leash off our property, barked ferociously at anyone who came to the door and even worse if they came inside, and she had issues with any sudden noise. She lived her life in a constant state of panic and it was just getting worse by the day. We got her back just over a week ago and she has done a complete 180. She allowed visitors into our house and was completely relaxed the entire time they stayed. She even went in search of pets from them, which she had never ever done before. We have had major thunderstorms that she has slept through. We even took her to Lowe's this weekend where she did amazing. She had a bark or two for the two dogs we met coming in, but after quick correction she settled right down and even laid in the aisle at one point while I was making my paint decisions. We have not seen the crazy panic eyes at all since she has been home and she even sleeps deeply while we are all out and about in the house making noise. We couldn't be more grateful for Corey and the time he spent with her, and us at our turn over lesson. 10/10 would recommend.

We enrolled our two dogs in a two-week board and train program with Modern K9. One is an 18-month-old Retriever mix, and the other is an 11-month-old Mastiff/Shepherd mix. Before working with Modern K9, trying to train both puppies at once was a real challenge. Corey took the time to train our dogs and then focused on training us. He made sure the dogs understood the commands and expected behaviors, and then worked closely with us to teach us how to correct them effectively. After the board and train, plus three follow-up lessons with Corey, I now feel confident walking both pups together by myself. They walk calmly on the leash without pulling and are becoming wonderful canine citizens. Corey is an outstanding trainer!

After doing some research and speaking to multiple businesses, after I spoke to Correy I knew that his program was exactly what we were looking for when we were looking for programs for puppies. We sent our poodle puppy for the puppy board and train program and we are so glad that we did! Before we brought our pup home we had a very detailed turnover lesson to help us keep everything on track. Our pup came back home with a really good understanding of how we will communicate what we want from him!of course, hes a puppy so we have to continue working with him but he’s doing an amazing job with what he has learned so far and we look forward to our future Followup lessons and training as he gets older.

Sending our Border Collie mix, Bear, to Corey at The Modern K9 was hands down one of the best decisions we've ever made for our family! From start to finish, Corey was absolutely amazing to work with. He is incredibly kind, patient, and truly knowledgeable in his craft. We enrolled Bear in Corey's 4-week board and train program to address his severe reactivity towards other dogs. Bear has always been a super happy and sweet dog, but his reactivity meant we couldn't walk him on a leash or take him anywhere without major issues. With three dogs in our house, it was also causing significant conflict. At the turnover lesson, we were absolutely stunned. Bear was a completely new dog! He displayed amazing leash manners and was incredibly responsive to commands. Since returning home, he has been remarkably calm and settled, and the conflict with our two other dogs has virtually disappeared. We have Corey to thank for this incredible transformation. Corey's generosity with his time was also truly impressive. In both the evaluation/turnover lesson and the follow-up lesson, he spent more time with us than originally planned, ensuring we felt confident and equipped. For our at-home lesson, Corey even came to our neighborhood trail and patiently guided us through walking Bear around other dogs. Bear was outstanding – responsive, easily controlled, and calm. We were amazed and beyond thankful to finally be able to enjoy walks with him. Initially, I was worried about parting with our boy for four weeks, but it was clear that Bear was in the best hands. Corey took exceptional care of him; Bear clearly showed how much he loved Corey when he arrived for our second lesson! Seeing the benefits firsthand of training Bear outside of his home environment was truly eye-opening. Corey has also done a fantastic job of educating us on how to maintain the structure and properly communicate with Bear, which is crucial for long-term success. Plus, his social media updates allowed us to follow Bear's progress during his training, which was a lovely touch.
