The Naked Dog

Allegra was a pleasure to work with! We were having issues with our Boston Terrier greeting friends & strangers. She’s very hyper and loved jumping on people. We were also preparing her to participate in our wedding ceremony and needed her obedient and needed her full attention, aka listening to us. We had 3 sessions with Allegra, two in-home and one in public. We sure did learn a lot!! It’s really all about the pups parents, patience and follow-through. You’ve got to be consistent with your furbaby (whether you like it or not) and take the advice from a professional! I found The Naked Dog about a year ago and I'm so glad I did. I've used all of their services and highly recommend! I started with a board and train session for my rescue pup, Willa, right after I adopted her. Willa was very timid, nervous around dogs, people, and noise, and had pretty horrible separation anxiety. Now she's confident in busy places, crowds, and around other dogs, and totally comfortable being home alone. But, I was probably the one who needed the most training, and they've all been great about providing tips and corrections (respectfully!). After moving from South Congress over to the East Side, I was able to join the East Side hiking pack - Tricia has been so easy to work with and Willa loves going on hikes with her every day! It's also great because I can take her off-leash pretty much anywhere, and I'm not at all worried about her. Recently, I had a couple of last minute work trips pop up and they were quick to accommodate boarding for her as well. Allegra, Tricia, and Haley have all been wonderful to work with and Willa loves spending time with them. It's great knowing Willa is in good hands with them!

I have a 5 year old American Bulldog/Pit rescue that has had issues since the day I got him at 5 months old. Bilbo has had leash aggression, nervous aggression, dog and people reactivity, leash pulling, etc.. he was a mess and at 85lbs I couldn't control him and didn't know how to give myself and my dog a normal life. Allegra with The Naked Dog was my FOURTH trainer! None of the previous trainers (including a 2 week board and train) resulted in any kind of positive result. After the three sessions with Allegra, Bilbo was off leash in a park filled with other dogs and people and living his absolute best life. I could have cried seeing that progress. Allegra didn't train HIM as much as she trained ME in how to see Bilbo for who he was and what he was feeling. Parts of the training were difficult... it involves you changing the relationship you have with your dog and that is extremely hard, but once I started seeing the results I knew it was best for HIM and that made it extremely easy. Allegra worked with my schedule so well, she's really fun to be around and brings a very calming presence to your interactions with your dog. I thought Bilbo was doomed to never go to dog parks again, only get walks when no one was around, and basically to just hide away from the world for the rest of his life, and The Naked Dog gave both of us the ability to live such a better life together and for Bilbo to be a dog again!! I seriously cannot thank you enough!!!!!!
