The Nature Coast Dog Trainer

When I made my reservation with Jerry, I had to wait 3 months till my dog was 9 month. I was counting down the days because I was in a losing battle trying to train my Wild Child-Sheba. I Just got my, use to be “Wild Child,” back after a month under Jerry’s tutelage. My dog Sheba is a new animal. I can leave her sitting on the driveway of my house, and walk away, grab my mail; even with people walking by; she stays put. I can go very far off from her and I say “Sheba Come,” and she obeys. Wow!! What a super dog. She’s calm, pays close attention to me for her cues on how to behave. It’s evident that she has gotten, want she wanted all along; Sheba wanted a leader, structure and to please her leader; to feel safe. But didn’t know how to train her, to give her a solid haven to be the best of who she was. Jerry took over for me. Thank God!! I loved her, but I needed help desperately. Sheba didn’t deserve an untrained owner. Flashback: She was bossy, tried to bully me with barking and not calming down. Though I gave her lots of attention, she vied for it, 24-7, pulling hard on the leash; she’s so strong, she almost pulled me over several times. She would only stay in a sitting position for far less than a hot minute, and I could not walk outside with her without a leash; she’d head for the hills if I let her go. From the first meet with Jerry, she was starting to relax with him. He had her eating out of his able hands. Jerry doesn’t rush. He wins a dog’s heart and trust first. After a couple days, I told Jerry, “that just can’t be my dog.” His pics and videos warmed my heart at the quick progress he was making with Sheba. Jerry exposed her to places that she couldn’t have behaved in before: Lowes, parking lots, in a field without a leash, Wawa’s patio; laying down without Jerry holding onto her leash. I couldn’t believe it. Jerry cured both of our frustration and anxiety. I have the dog of my dreams. One that seeks to please you, she is confident and playful without being out of control. Jerry is the one to seek, to have a well behaved dog that you can take anywhere. Thanks Jerry you are the Bomb Diggity!!!

I was very impressed with Jerry’s knowledge and experience. He had a great rapport with our dog Josie and easily brought out the best in her. I was amazed to watch it first hand. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great trainer with amazing skills and experience. Our dog has more confidence, listens better and and is secure about her place in the family. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

After several incidences of my 2 yo, Cockapoo girl charging out a door to chase squirrels a friend referred us to Jerry Walker (the Nature Coast Dog Trainer). Jerry took us on for a 5 week program to acquaint Violet & I with the ecollar because of her dangerous behavior. He is a very consistent, committed & caring dog trainer. He listened to Violets & my needs and worked with me at my own learning pace. Jerry was so very patient and responded to all of my questions as well as having me work with Violet under his supervision & pointing out the good & the needs work areas. Violet & I have progressed nicely during our 5 weeks. I am now feeling more confident in my abilities and Violet is responding better & better in her stays and her recalls. She is actually working off leash outside in different places with slowly increasing distractions! (Including SQUIRRELS!!!). Thank you, Jerry Walker, we sure appreciate all you have taught us!
