The Nature Coast Dog Trainer

Am very grateful to my friend, Sally Hensen, who referred me to Jerry as I was in desperate need of help with my young Dogue de Bordeaux,ViVi. Having and being around English Mastiffs for many years did little to prepare me for ViVi. However - thanks to Jerry Walker's coaching and training methods, ViVi is on her way to becoming a more confident and better behaved family member. After only a couple of training sessions, I could see a difference and by the end of our training sessions, she really was a significantly different dogue. Thanks to Jerry, I believe that I have learned enough to continue with her training at this point and I appreciate Jerry leaving the door open - just in case I run into a roadblock in the future. We loved the reviews on Jerry Walker. But he was already booked until early 2026 because he takes only one dog at a time. Luckily, he had a cancellation to do one on one, once-a-week training. Before we fully realized he was not a cuddly little puppy, our dog had grown to over 80 lbs in 10 months. He was very smart, but very strong, rambunctious and out of control. He understood perfectly what we wanted him to do; but he would not do it, unless he chose. Jerry spent much of the very first lesson teaching him to calm down and listen. Our dog was a quick study And Jerry was a wonderful and skilled teacher. He explained we have to be disciplined, giving him firm commands and keep at it until the dog understood we meant business. This is hard because it requires a lot of patience to guide a somewhat willful dog. And throughout, Jerry showed incredible love and kindness to our dog and earned his trust. We are delighted with the results of the training. And have arranged to take him back for residential training next year. Cannot recommend him enough.

I just can’t say enough about nature Coast Dog Trainer, Jerry. I was a nervous Nelly taking my Irish Terrier home—afraid she would not listen to me the way she did him. The first day she tested us, she has a very good memory of the things she used to do to get into trouble at home! But we’ve been home two days and Maeve is already listening to me and following her commands just like she did for Jerry. I could not be any happier with her behaviour. No more jumping up on the kitchen counters or people that come into the house. But most importantly she can be a dog. She can be off leash all the time, chasing squirrels, yet coming when called! She can run liked the wind and it makes me happy to watch her run and even happier that she comes to us when we ask her to. Really impressed with the Jerrys dog training knowledge and ALL he was able to accomplish in 4 short weeks. He has outstanding facilities for working indoors out of the stifling heat of summer in Florida. I could not have made a better investment in the satisfaction and happiness that both I and my dog can enjoy thanks to Jerry. ❤️
