Like a lot of pet parents, I once thought taking a basic puppy class (which I did for mine) at a generic dog training place would suffice. I didn't fully grasp what it truly meant to have a well-trained dog. It was only when my dog started having reactivity issues where taking her to the park or on walks would end up in frustration because she would scream and pull at the sight of another dog. I did a ton of internet research, watched dog training videos, downloaded apps to see if I can gain any knowledge to help her. After numerous attempts without success, I began looking for dog trainers in my area and found The Northwest Dog Trainer. After stalking their page for weeks, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for an assessment. From that point on, everything changed! The dedication and professionalism displayed by Marcus and Jeremy at Northwest Dog Trainer are truly remarkable. They have transformed what seemed like the toughest challenge into an achievable goal. Their expertise in dog training is evident in every session, and they go the extra mile to ensure that both the pets and their owners feel supported throughout the entire process. They have a tailored training program to cater to the specific needs of your pup. I appreciate their clear communication, patience and understanding, as well as consistent support so I never feel lost or left behind. Their ability to transform a reactive and challenging situation into a calm experience is a testament to their skills and dedication. Northwest Dog Trainer is an invaluable resource for anyone looking for expert guidance in dog training. They have been instrumental in my girl gaining obedience and good manners, to the extent that she has earned her Canine Good Citizen certification! She can now successfully execute all the basic commands, heel, demonstrate excellent recall, walk without a leash, and remain calm around other dogs and in crowded environments. Following her success, I have also enrolled my boy in training! I highly recommend their services. This is an investment that pays off tenfold and will last you for a lifetime, while also strengthening the bond you share with your fur baby. If you're hesitating, just go for it! You won't regret your decision.Be sure to go in with an open mind, lots of patience, and put aside time to work with your pup outside of class as well. Even if your pup doesn’t suffer from any behavioral issues, I still recommend their training as it is a great enrichment opportunity. Don’t be THAT dog owner! ;) Lastly, I want to applaud NW Dog Trainer for the wonderful community they have built through their work and the awesome events they host beyond the classroom, fostering connections among dog owners to share their experiences. I have met some great people through this community! Also, huge shoutout to Melisa and Trinity for their welcoming attitude and professionalism. You never fail to make me laugh! Thank you for all that you do because Marcus and Jeremy could never (kidding). Hah! So grateful for you all!

The team at Northwest Dog trainer is really super. My new dog was a wild child and not sure how I would have gotten him to the calm and well behaved dog I have today (only after 3 months!!!!) without Marcus, Jeremy and Mellisa's help. They personalize each training track and really care how things are going at all times. Most of all they are very patient with the pups but more importantly, the pup parents-who need the most training after all. :) Bravos all around.
