MIRACLE WORKER! We have known Leah for four years. First, she helped us train a puppy (mix of pit bull, basset hound, and a bunch of other things). Echo quickly became the model dog in the household and now, after the loss of two senior dogs, he is the "alpha". What a kind and generous alpha he is! We take Echo everywhere with us because he is so well behaved. Babies can pull his ears and he still sits there calmly! He is able to go off leash in Jamesville and run like the hunter dog he is while coming when called. Two weeks ago, we had a new dog join the household. Jerry is a 4-5 year old Shelti mix who spent 3 years in a dog hoarding situation and then a year with an owner who had to keep him kenneled most of the day. He came to us, anxiety-ridden and hyper attentive (apparently a trait of Shelties). For the first three nights, he barked and howled all night. Leah came over right away to help us understand his needs and how to help him with positive support. She explained what he needed: Jerry needed to learn how to "dog". We followed all of her advice and two weeks later: He sleeps with the whole "crew" (other dogs and cats), plays in the backyard with Echo, goes off leash (!!!) in Jamesville with Echo, and has built up several responses (sit, stay, lay down). Along with training, Leah is the biggest treat we can give our dogs when she takes them on sniffaris. We do doggy daycare at Shear Magic Dog Spa and she will pick them up there and take them on sniffaris. (She also connected us with Shear Magic, which has been an extraordinary blessing for us and the pups!) Leah has taught us that positivity with dogs is not just about treats. It's about a way of interacting and being with our dogs that results in them being kind, gentle and loving companions who enjoy "dogging"! ;) Cannot recommend her highly enough!

I'm not even certain where to begin when it comes to trying to convey just how satisfied and happy we are with our experience working with Leah! She is so beyond compassionate, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. With so many options for "trainers" in our area, I'm so glad that we chose someone who truly does practice and implement science-based, force-free training That is designed to help both our family and dog be the best that they can possibly be! We can already tell a noticeable difference in our girl Stormy and are so excited to continue with lessons. The fun and knowledge Leah brings to the table is well worth the investment we've made.

Leah is the best! I went to her a with my reactive dogs after a recommendation from my neighbor. She was quick to do a consult, make recommendations and begin training based off my dogs specific needs. She is so patient with me and my dogs, working with them in different settings. She starts with a basic foundation and applies to various settings always keeping the dog’s best interests in mind. Her prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend her!
