I found out about Simply Balanced K9 by googling dog training near me. I did research because I wanted someone who was personal and didn’t do large groups so it was easier for my dog to learn simple obedience. The reviews were great talking about how they were patient with dogs and humans, they say dramatic improvements and they were professional (just a few things that stood out to me) so I reached out to Simply Balanced K9. I knew my dog didn’t need much but he needed some obedience training and so I decided to book a 5 session and considered more if needed after the 5 sessions were over. Simply Balances K9 are very knowledgeable people and they are great at training. BUT they are unprofessional and unorganized. I feel like we were not top priority (everyone should be if they are paying for services). Like I said we paid for 5 sessions but only had 2 sessions in a span of 5 weeks. The first session they were 45 minutes late. The second session they were no shows and after an hour of waiting I finally texted them and they said their car broke down (I offered to just cancel and reschedule). They said they were getting an uber and were on the way. Another hour passed, still haven’t heard from them. So I reached back out to just say we will reschedule. Then I finally ate dinner at 9:15. Training was scheduled at 6:00. The 3rd session they were an hour and 15 minutes late. This time they were stuck in traffic (understandable). We also ate dinner at 9:00 this night. Before leaving we told them we were going to be out of town the following week and I would text them to set up an appointment. The next Wednesday I get a text saying they were on the way. I responded we are out of town but I can do next Tuesday or Wednesday at 6:00. So we decided on Wednesday. That week passed and it was time for another session. Since it had been a few days I decided to text them on Tuesday and say I look forward to working with y’all tomorrow at 6:00. I also stated that we had somewhere to be at 8:00 so we had to leave right at 7:30. They responded with sounds great see you then. Wednesday at 7:20 they haven’t shown up and I haven’t heard from them. So I texted them to 1 make sure they are okay and 2 telling them we need to reschedule because we have to leave. That night I had enough and felt like we were not a priority. Even though we listened to everything they had to say. Bought everything they suggest (name tag, dog collar, training collar, bed (for place) then they suggested an elevated bed (bought that too), treats, kong toy, pig ears and other treats), practiced with him during the week and did the best we could. We were so happy with the results we would see after just one session. But I have a life. I work a full time job and my boyfriend works a full time job. I would rush home to change and get my dog and drive to my boyfriends house to make sure I was there and ready for training. I had to reschedule plans in my week around dog training. I am a very understanding person and understand that life happens but it doesn’t happen every time. Also having no notice or told upfront is uncalled for. For the reason of them not showing up, not reaching out that they were going to be late or not show up. I had to do what was best for us and cancel the rest of the sessions. I sent them an email stating the reasons for canceling and asked for 50% of my money back (I thought that was being generous considering what we dealt with). I never received a response. Only a text 12 days later saying they couldn’t refund my money because it was stated in the wavier they don’t refund. Yes I read that but I didn’t cancel because of something I did. So if you have the time to wait around Simply Balanced K9 is for you. But for most people don’t and I don’t recommend using Simply Balanced K9.

Amanda and Lauren are top notch! They were very professional and excellent at explaining what they do and why. We have a 8 month old mini bernedoodle that was starting to develop some bad behaviors. Winston went to live with Lauren and Amanda and their 5 dog for 2 1/2 weeks. When he returned home he was calmer, more cuddly, better behaved and happier! . I would highly recommend Simply Balanced K9 to anyone who has a dog or puppy that needs to develop a good foundation to be a well balanced well behaved dog for years to come.

I love the fact that they don't take a one-size-fits-all approach to training. It was great that we could say what we were struggling with and they developed a plan for Kacey in our own home to work on it. We were thrilled with the results after just one session but it has only been better every session since. We love our goldendoodle and truly appreciate their help in making him a fabulous addition to our family!

My biggest need was to be able to walk my beagle puppy without her dragging me along. The minute Lauren and Andrea fitted Lucy with a specific collar she was like a different dog. She walks right next to me and stops and sits when I stop. Sure she still wants to run after a squirrel, but one gentle tug on the collar and she’s right back in line. My walks are now pleasant for both of us. The added bonus has been all the other commands that Lucy reacts too. It was especially important for me to be trained along with Lucy. Lauren and Andrea always came prepared and on time. And most importantly, Lucy considers both of them great friends!
