Christine has been both our trainer and support system during this overwhelming and chaotic new puppy phase. As someone who had fostered puppies many times, I assumed I would only need a few sessions when we adopted our GSD/Pyrenees puppy, Betty. However, now I wish I had bought Christine’s infinity package so we could train with her forever and ever. Primarily, Christine is a highly knowledgeable and passionate dog trainer. She has provided an in-depth understanding of dog behavior and the psychology of dog training. This foundation has been invaluable in helping us develop a successful ongoing training relationship , and in helping Betty become a loving member of our family. Secondly, she has also served as an unofficial puppy doula and mentor. She has always been happy to get on the phone and talk us through problems in between sessions, and even guide us in choosing a vet and groomer. I don’t know how we would have managed without her during those sleepless nights and feelings of sadness and regret. Lastly, she is a gentle and calming presence—the type of person that was born to work with animals. She has taught us how to be effective dog parents using only positive reinforcement and kindness to our puppy. Working with Christine has been a gift that will continue to provide value for many years to come!

Two words: Call Christine. No words can truly capture how much Christine helped us in our journey with our dog, Poppy. We got Poppy when she was about 3 months old, and she was a very anxious puppy. As brand-new dog parents, we really wanted to do everything right. Unfortunately, early on we enrolled her in a daycare/train-style program that was very discipline-focused, and it ended up making things worse. Poppy regressed a lot and became even more anxious. That’s when we found Christine. From the start, Christine was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive. She helped us undo a lot of the stress and fear that had developed and guided us step by step toward building Poppy’s confidence again. What stood out most was that Christine didn’t just train our dog — she helped us grow as dog parents too. Her passion for animals is so obvious in the way she works. She regularly checked in, sent helpful podcasts and articles, and made sure we had the tools we needed between sessions. I also really appreciated that she spaced out the training sessions so we had time to practice and actually see progress. The transformation has been amazing. Poppy went from being too anxious to even get out of the car at a park to confidently walking around Carlsbad Village. Even more importantly, the bond between Poppy and me has grown so much through this process. I truly couldn’t have done this without Christine, and I’m so grateful we found her. If you’re struggling with your dog or just want to set them up for success, she is the person to call.

When my husband decided to surprise me with a 4 month old puppy from Baja on a Sunday night, I had to jump into action mode as we have an 11 year old dog who has never been interested in playing with other dogs and two cats. I've trained puppies but never with these kind of distractions. I posted for help on our local residents FB page and Christine's response touched my heart. Now going on 3 months and we couldn't be happier with the compassionate approach helping Hobie learn commands without the typical "corrections" approach. Christine has also been compassionate to me, when Hobie had some behavioral issues she offered to introduce me to another trainer that specializes in that field. That is a mark of a true professional. We continue to train with Christine and Hobie seems to be responding well. We can't walk past the spot we've done several sessions without Hobie wanting to "search" for his Christine!

If so, we highly recommend Christine Young, owner of The Puppy Care Company. We adopted a twelve-week-old puppy that was cute as could be. We quickly learned that we weren’t prepared for the crazy puppy jumping up on people, biting, crazy energy and later adolescent antics. That led us to searching for a trainer who specialized in puppies and adolescent dogs. We found Christine Young, who offers zoom sessions, as well as in person training. Working together with Christine, we learned how to turn frustrating and negative puppy behaviors into positive ones. Our pup viewed these training sessions with Christine and us as fun games. Little did our puppy realize that those games were helping her learn appropriate behavior without us yelling or using punishment correction. Everyone in our house was relieved and happy to be learning positive techniques that channeled our pup’s energy into appropriate behaviors. Christine’s training respects the dog’s needs, as well as helping the dog learn appropriate boundaries. Recently, we adopted a second dog and Christine was right there helping us with the transition. Christine’s extensive expertise, experience and care for her clients is evident from the very first training session. Christine is always there for us and our dogs, offering guidance and resources.

And best of all, she is an incredibly kind-hearted person and has been a wonderful support to us through the chaos of puppy rearing. Her encouragement along the way have made puppy-hood a joyful experience. Now, the six of us are having so much fun with our high energy adolescent husky!
