The Puppy Coach Dog Training

My wife and I got an 8 week old husky / malamute / German shepherd puppy in January. He's going to be very big (the vet estimates 120 lbs when he's done growing) we wanted to get professional training for him so he behaves properly in public. After reading reviews for several local dog trainers in Highlands Ranch, we asked Paula to come and meet our puppy Gandalf. She was so great with him from the moment they met - we hired Paula on the spot and enrolled him in her "Puppy Kindergarten" course. Paula did a fantastic job training us to train our puppy. Each training session, she added on some new methods for managing Gandalf's behavior, and presented us with a list of homework for us to do with the pup. After about 7x 90 minute sessions, Gandalf is now a wonderfuly behaved 8 month old. He's great on walks, at restaurants and brewpubs, in the car, at the dog park - we can take him anywhere and he understands all of his commands perfectly, and is always well behaved. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend The Puppy Coach for your dog training needs.

We had an amazing experience working with Paula! We loved that she came to our home, took the time to understand our goals, and tailored Teddy’s training to our everyday environment. It made the training feel practical and gave us real-life scenarios to work through. Even during the initial consultation, we saw an immediate response from Teddy and knew we wanted to move forward. Paula provides training materials and videos to practice between sessions, and while you definitely have to put in the work, it’s absolutely worth it. Teddy has come such a long way! Being able to text Paula with questions between sessions was incredibly helpful. She is kind, professional, and truly invested in your success. More than just training Teddy, she made sure we understood dog behavior and taught us how to communicate with and correct him effectively. We highly recommend her!

This is a long overdue review for Paula the Puppy Coach. Paula was amazing and so easy to work with. Scheduling was simple, and she was always flexible and accommodating. What truly set her apart was her experience and patience working with my former research dog. She understood her background, her hesitations, and the unique challenges that come with dogs who haven’t had a typical start in life. Paula approached her with such calm, steady confidence that she blossomed under her guidance. She helped me dog in ways I didn’t think were possible. Her knowledge, compassion, and thoughtful methods made a huge difference in my home. I can’t recommend Paula enough.

We heard of Paula from our neighbor who had Paula train her dog. Our dog, Jennie, is a ten-year-old Minnie Aussie. Jennie was used for breeding and had no training of any kind; she had never been in a house to use steps or anything like that. My wife and I got her two weeks after her tenth birthday. Paula came after we had Jennie for three months. Paula quickly bonded to Jennie and they became best friends. Paula offered encouragement to my wife and me as well as to Jennie. Jennie quickly learned commands and started playing games that Paula taught to train Jennie. Jennie now looks forward to walks, games, and simply being with my wife and me. She seems even happier than when we first brought Jennie home. My wife and I gladly recommend Paula to anyone who wants a trainer. Paula is friendly and loves dogs and wants them to be the best dog they can be.
