Hi Raul, I’m sorry our program did not meet your expectations. A big part of our socialization process is to help everyone understand a pup’s body language so puppies can play safely. That’s why we point out various play styles and interactions as appropriate or inappropriate. We don’t want pups to be hurt or scared while interacting with each other. I do appreciate you doing research. However, with the limited amount of time during class, it’s hard to address those questions. I’m happy to discuss and answer any questions outside of the actual class. As far as Caesar Milan, since he uses physical and emotional punishment to control dogs, we do not advocate his methods. We, instead suggest reading what behaviosts recommend. Please check out Dr. Patricia McConnell, Dr. Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson, and various other PhDs that have a true understanding of how animals think and learn. I hope you would find their work as fascinating as I do. Yes, it’s hot in the summer time. Unfortunately, we have to deal with the weather because the safest surface for puppies to run around and play on is turf. Playing on hard surfaces such as flooring is not a good idea for young dogs who have not fully developed. Thank you for your feedback.
