The Puppy Playground

I have taken two dogs for socialization and training to KDTC, the most recent at their newish facility off Quality Way. Their bldg is really nice, with a padded floor that makes it easy on both the dog and me. They have a fenced in grassy yard for potty breaks, and they provide poop bags, which is great. They have small class sizes, which provides an opportunity for my dog to get used to being around other dogs, but they have a no contact policy which keeps them all safe. They provided a class by class agenda with helpful tips. The trainers are all volunteers who have been training dogs of all sizes for years, if not decades, so they have very helpful ideas. Training is all positive techniques, so no punishments, which I find very effective. The dogs get a break mid class to go potty, and for beginners, no one expects perfection or that your dog will be an angel. It's realistic, personal, friendly training that works and doesn't cost a fortune.
