Angela is absolutely incredible—a true dog lover and a fantastic teacher. We initially hired her for five sessions after getting our first dog and quickly realizing we were in over our heads. Early on, our puppy developed a significant fear of buses and trucks and even started refusing to go outside. I’m so glad we chose Angela, as she immediately provided guidance via email on how to work through it before our next session. She came fully prepared with exercises to help desensitize our puppy and ease her anxiety. If we had chosen a board-and-train program instead, we wouldn’t have gained the skills to handle this on our own. Angela really listens to your priorities. We usually spend the first 15–20 minutes of each session without our dog, discussing any issues we've faced and what we want to focus on next. She also brings suggestions for things we might not have considered, but she never imposes her own agenda. Angela is generous with her time; she doesn’t rush off right at the 60-minute mark—she genuinely cares about our puppy’s progress. After each session, she sends a detailed plan outlining what we covered, exercises to work on over the next couple of weeks, and helpful worksheets with clear instructions. Thanks to Angela, our pup has made tremendous progress over the past 12 weeks, and we've already signed up for five more sessions. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate dog trainer—especially if your dog has fear or anxiety.

Angela really listens, asks questions and then follows up with a written plan. Charlie is an 18 pound rescue with overwhelming belligerence toward big dogs. Unlike 2 previous trainers, Angela listened when I explained why I couldn't use a specific training technique. She worked with me using her extensive knowledge of dog behavior to modify techniques or come up with alternatives. Angela is not a "one size fits all" trainer. Charlie still doesn't like big dogs, but he can remain calm, listen to me and let me move him away from the other dog or sit and take treats until the dog passes. I can now take him for a walk in the neighborhood without fear that his aggressiveness will lead to him or both of us being mauled by an offended Husky.
