FirstBarkWe took on the grand challenge of two black lab puppies this summer. Ian and his staff has gotten them to be well adjusted and responsive to commands. He takes a holistic approach that addresses a much broader landscape than just getting them to respond to commands. He has helped them not become hyper-bonded and be more engaged with us. We are a small locally owned business that takes pride in what we do. We treat every dog as if they were a part of our family. To make communication and learning clear, effective, and fun, we use a positive reinforcement reward-based marker system. This training is designed to build a strong, healthy relationship between you and your dog. It is also designed to create confident dogs and happy owners. Together we will address problems that already exist while also being proactive so you are prepared to handle behaviors that might come up in the future.

The day program is a perfect fit for our busy families schedule and we quickly saw saw ton of progress in his behaviors. Ian understands dogs and people. He is clear about his expectations and provides the resources for the owner to meet them.

Ian has been amazing to work with. My dog has always been reactive on a leash and towards other dogs. I’ve seen major progress in such a short amount of time. The other day Ian sent me a video of my dog off leash, following Ian around with other dogs in the room, which I thought wasn’t possible. He no longer pulls me on walks the entire time, he walks right next to me. He also stopped lunging and trying to attack cars that drive by us. I am really excited to keep working with Ian and make more progress!
Can’t recommend them enough. My dog was full of anxiety, scared of lights, scared to go outside at certain times, wasn’t able to go for walks without her trying to bolt back to the house. Now I have a dog who loves walks, can be calm and relaxed in the house even when lights from cars are bouncing off the walls.
Ian has so much patience with both dogs and their owners. I am so happy I found him.He has worked wonders with my pup Rocket! I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a dog with issues of any kind.He is amazing and he truly loves his job and it shows!
