Carolyn has been an incredible help to us in training our almost year old pup! Before starting with her, Rocky had trouble containing his excitement with jumping and struggling with pulling on leash. After working with Carolyn, we have learned so many great tips and tricks and Rocky has come so far, and is a much more confident and relaxed dog. We have known Carolyn O'Connell for many years- and three dogs. The latest two...rescues-...came with "baggage", large, matching sets for both. In each case, Carolyn was able to evaluate the dog's' behaviors, zero in on the issues that needed work and provide easy to follow, step by step strategies to mitigate them. Not only was she amazingly patient with each dog, but she was also with us as well. I needed to work on going more slowly so that neither the dogs nor I would get frustrated. Her training skills worked for all of us! Rescue dogs arrive with very little "back story"...it takes an intuitive, empathetic trainer to overcome what can be some interesting behavioral issues, and with training, get the dogs to their full and lovable potential. Carolyn O'Connell has done just that for us. We will never know the how and why of our dogs' early lives, but they are no longer affected by all that baggage. Thanks to Carolyn, we only occasionally have to unpack a very small carry-on. We will be forever grateful.

Carolyn thinks like a pup! She has incredible knowledge of dogs’ behavior and body language. We have had her assistance with both of our dogs (yellow labs 8 and 2 ) . She has helped us acclimate four pups into our home. Her ability to instill good behavior while anticipating issues is amazing.
