The Steadfast Canine

If you need a dog trainer look no further! Eric worked with our girl Dakota and taught her how to become more confident with herself as certain situations turned her into a nervous nelly. We did the 3 week board and train and were amazed at the things he got her to do and we could tell she was really enjoying it. He has high expertise on dog behavior and educated us a lot on the Malinois breed. She had gotten into certain habits with exhibiting bad behaviors that we couldn't break her out of without understanding the why and how to her mental thinking but now that Eric has explained that to us we now know what to do in approaching it with her. She is definitely more of a happy girl and we are so grateful for all that he has done for us. You can tell he loves what he does and cares a lot about getting them to where they need to be. He's an amazing trainer and I highly recommend The Steadfast Canine for your dogs needs with training **Second Review** This is my second review for The Steadfast Canine. We have been working with Eric for our other dog Ranger as it was a no brainer for us because he did an amazing job with our Malinois,, Dakota. We just finished up with our last lessen with him and have seen major improvements with Ranger using the tools that Eric has taught us with his high expertise. Some of Ranger’s behaviors included him not being great with strangers(wanting to be snippy), pulling on the leash and others dealing with his impulse control. Although the behavior with strangers made him a little trickier to work with Eric knew exactly what to do and how to handle it. Ranger did such a great job at responding well with the corrections. We have learned so much and are grateful for all that Eric has helped us with for our dogs. We have also boarded them with him and never had to worry about them knowing they were in great hands. It has amazed us with how much knowledge Eric has in dog training and how we’ve seen both our dogs respond well with it. He makes sure that he does everything he can to make them succeed and truly cares. I can’t say enough good things about the Steadfast Canine so if you need an excellent trainer or need to board your dog look no further!

We boarded our 12-year-old lab Optimus with Eric for 10 days this summer, and we could not have made a better choice. He came highly recommended by a dear friend who also works with dogs, so we knew he would take good care of our old boy. We were right. Eric texted us during our trip and sent pictures so we could see how Op was doing (big dog smiles!). He made sure Op was comfortable and had everything he needed to settle in for his "vacation". I am so thankful we found Eric and The Steadfast Canine, because Optimus is a treasured member of our family and it brings me such peace of mind knowing he will be in good hands when we need someone to care for him again.

I have been boarding my Bull Terrier, Bullet, with The Steadfast Canine and Eric regularly in the last few months, when I travel for work, and I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful experience. Eric goes above and beyond to make sure Bullet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for during his stay. The Steadfast Canine is the perfect environment for my dog, who can sometimes be a bit of a handful, so it is reassuring to know that Eric gives Bullet plenty of love and attention and is treated as one of his own while there, yet also has the expertise to keep this lovable little menace in line and well behaved. I have a sneaking suspicion he’s getting a little training in on the side while on his “vacation” at Steadfast too, which just goes to show how much Eric truly cares and loves what he does. I appreciate knowing that Bullet is in great hands and receives the attention and affection this little lover needs while I am away, as it has been difficult to find the perfect boarding situation for him, until now. I highly recommend The Steadfast Canine and Eric to anyone looking for a caring and reliable friend to take care of their furry little mate.
