We hired Megan to help us with our very active Golden Retriever, who loved to pull on walks and counter surf. Megan was prompt for each session, never canceled or "no showed", and sent a detailed follow-up email with notes and instructions after each session so we could continue to practice what she taught us. Within a few sessions, there was no more pulling on walks and our Golden Retriever would stay in his "place" while we prepped food to mitigate counter surfing. At the end of the initial training regime, we hired Megan for additional sessions for our little Yorkie-shihtzu. We had worked with a few dog trainers before, but Megan by far is the best. We highly recommend her.

We used Megan of Stellar Dog for our new puppy and knew that having a well-adjusted and behaved dog was paramount for our overall doggie owner experience. Simply put, Megan is an amazing dog trainer. We could immediately tell our pup knew "class was in session" when she arrived on day one with her calm demeanor and positive reinforcement. She is well versed in all types of behavior patterns, correction and training methods, and learning resources. She goes the extra mile - whether its meeting at your home or meeting up to acclimatize your pup with you in public spaces like Home Depot. Can't recommend her enough. We have a happy pup and look forward to a lifetime of happiness with him thanks to Megan's hard work.

Megan helped us with our first dog when she was a puppy so when we adopted our second dog, we were desperate for her help. Our newest addition, Poppy, was having a hard time settling in and we were struggling to understand her needs. We were also very concerned about integrating her with our other dog, Momo, who was stressed and becoming withdrawn. Both are dog-friendly but their personalities are very different. Momo is calm, non-confrontational, and gentle. Poppy is a couple years younger, plays hard, can be rude, and doesn't quit. Not the best match but we didn't realize this until it was too late. Megan supported us through a slow introduction where they were mostly kept separate for 3.5 months (baby gates, play pens, leashes). During that time, she worked with Poppy on all of the basics. Other concerns we had were her skittishness, how hyper she was which we learned could be due to stress, nonstop crying, mouthiness, and aversion to touch – she tailored sessions to work with her on these. She also brought her sweet dog, Gia, over to get a better idea of how Poppy plays so Momo didn't have to be the guinea pig. We then started working with Poppy and Momo together – things like place so they could calmly be in the same space. When she felt they were ready, she walked us through how to let them share more time together and how to redirect Poppy. This is where the training really came in handy because Poppy now understood what to do when we asked things of her. The 4 month mark was a real turning point for all of us. Things felt easier and less stressful. We started seeing Momo's old self come back and she was open to short play sessions with Poppy. Poppy is still a handful at times and we have a lot of work to put in but we're very hopeful for her and Momo's relationship. We can't thank Megan enough! We were feeling all the emotions (stress, tremendous guilt, sadness, frustration) but having her support, really helped pull us through the hardest part. She is always so calm and collected, honest, friendly and professional. She really has a way with dogs. Momo is absolutely obsessed with her and was thrilled to see her again.

We had a great experience working with Megan with the Stellar Dog and can't recommend her enough. Our then 1 year old dog Ruby had been isolated due to a surgery and once healed was fairly reactive. From the start of our training sessions, Megan was patient, communicative, and really cared for our dog's individual needs. The sessions were conducted at our home and in nearby parks to work through actual real world situations. We emerged from the training sessions much more confident and knowledgeable owners. In addition to training, the personalized resources Megan has sent us have helped us continue to progress after each session.
