The Trainer k9 Services

My wife Susan and I went to Matt White of The Trainer K-9 Services to have our lab/hound mix puppy Ernie go through intensive off-leash training. What amazing results! Night and day. The best part of it all was that Matt took the time to educate us on how best to work with Ernie to continue to reinforce what he had learned. Ernie is our first puppy, and Matt and his staff have been an invaluable resource. Matt's experience is beyond impressive, and he's very patient and very much a teacher at heart. Awesome all around. Highly recommended, especially for those new to puppies or dogs in general.

My family and I always loved German Shepherds and after our pup Athena passed we decided to look into getting another one . We found a breeder in NH with very high reviews and gorgeous bloodlines . We found our Bruno 🐾 My husband John said he would spend time training him as a pup and so he tried for months but this pup was the hardest dog to train ever . In fact so hard we thought about calling the breeder to take him back fearful of the aggression this dog had and the lack of obedience . You see we have an 8 year old son and every time he would run outside to play or kick a soccer ball Bruno would bite at my sons legs . We also live in a street where people ride a lot of bikes and even though our yard was fenced in Bruno would chase them from one side of the fence to the other even almost jumping over the fence . We never allowed people around him that he did not know in fear he would seriously hurt someone . We also have a small Chihuahua Named Scrappy Doo that Bruno would sometimes get aggressive with and torment . When I would bring him to the vet I would fear for everyone’s safety , we would use a muzzle but he would always get it off . The vet finally said she would only do his shots once a year so that I would not need to bring him in constantly. Just the size of this dog forget it I could never walk him or take him anyway . He would drag me so hard on the leash I felt like he was walking me lol . For work I am a direct sales rep that requires visiting people at their homes . I had gone to one home in sandwich ma and met with the homeowner . Upon meeting him I was greeted by a huge long haired Shepherd . Fearful to enter based on my experience with Bruno I was hesitate . The homeowner insisted the dog was well trained and would not harm me . I enterened the home this dog did not move , his owner used one command “heal “ . My meeting was about an hour . The dog did not move , only his eyes to watch what I was doing st all times . I couldn’t believe the control this homeowner had with his dog After the meeting I asked the homeowner about his dog and the dogs training . He grabbed a card out of his wallet and said call this man you will not be disappointed , “ I promise this man will have your dog the best dog you will ever have after he trains him “ . I couldn’t wait to tell my husband and to call THE TRAINER k9 SERVICES ( Matt white ) We had a vacation planned that summer and also needed boarding so I gave Matt a call . He answered the phone and was so informant. I explained the problems we were having with Bruno and also our fears . He listened and never judged , we set up a time to meet so he could see his behaviors first hand . We met at his training camp / boarding center in Yarmouth . I was so nervous as well as my husband I think lol . Matt met us outside and asked us to walk into the pen with him and take off the leash . I explained to Matt he didn’t know Matt and that he could be aggressive . Matt confidently said to me “ that’s why he is here to train “ We knew then this guy was the real deal !!!! We talked for a bit while Bruno sniffed around and got used to his surroundings . We did not hesitate after seeing Matt interact with Bruno that we wanted Matt to train him . The day before our trip we dropped him off with Matt , we would be gone for a week . Matt assured us Bruno would do great here and that when we got back Bruno would have improved behavior . We went on our trip checking in daily with Matt about Bruno . When we picked him up instead of Bruno running to us he stayed right by Matt’s side unleashed !!!!! We were shocked , we knew instantly the old Bruno was gone . Once Matt used the word “ free” Bruno can walking towards us a Gentle gentle giant . Matt took the time to go over all commands and explained to use his policy of if he needs more training he can come back as long as he needs to and that we have a trainer for life !!! This meant the world , it was been 6 months since that week in training and we couldn’t be happier !!! Matt God bless you and your staff j
