Positive experience, great outcome! Lauren’s expert understanding of dog behavior, training techniques and calm teaching method taught me how to lead my dog and taught my dog how to listen to me. I now feel that I can take my pup anywhere with confidence and pride. We will definitely be visiting Lauren again to refresh our skills and to learn new ones. We went to Third Coast for a consultation, and about a week later, we're already seeing results! Our Galavant, who is six and very set in his ways, has anxiety issues that we've spent years working on, and we finally decided we should seek help for him. I'm so glad we did. Lauren is fantastic, and inside an hour of talking with us and watching us with Galavant she had identified a few key ways that we could help him. We've been training "sit on the dog", "place", and avoiding a few of our own behaviors that were probably contributing to his anxiety (that we never would have thought of had Lauren not pointed them out). He's already improving; he doesn't freak out as much when someone walks out of the house, he doesn't cry with excitement when it's time to go for a walk, and he's beginning to be able to sit in his "place" even when we're moving around the room without him (rather than just following us the moment we turn a corner). With a few other adjustments we're even seeing changes in his on-leash walking. (Less tugging! Yay!) We're very optimistic about the start that Lauren set us on and will certainly turn to her again in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone and everyone who asked.

Lauren with Third Coast Canine Academy is an exceptional dog/person trainer. She gives you tools, techniques, time and hands on instruction to be successful fairly quickly, consistency is key.
