Thurman's Place

I can’t not speak highly enough about Thurmans Place. We were on the verge of wanting to give our dog away. She barked, jumped, ran out our front door any time it opened, ate everything, got into the trash. It was miserable for us and our kids. We spent thousands of dollars on several different trainings and nothing stuck. We got to the point where she just stayed inside all day because we couldn’t take her on walks without her pulling us over. We had heard great things about Thurman’s and we needed a place to board her while we were out of town for the summer so decided to try one last training. She came home a different dog. We’re honestly still in shock. She has walks off a leash right next to us on walks now. I don’t even think I’ve heard her bark since she’s been home. She’s SO happy. She runs off leash and will come right back when we call. The doorbell rings and she doesn’t even move from her place. If you’re on the fence at all I can 100 percent tell you Thurmans is worth it. We get stopped when we are out with her and people comment on how well behaved she is. Karen and her staff are amazing. They are one text away and are in constant communication with you even after your dog comes home from training. The facility is beautiful and they truly care for the dogs. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t comment on how good our dog is now and how much fun it is to have a dog.

We were nervous to send our dog away and make the investment in him-- but we have a child with Special Needs and we had to do something about our dog's jumping, food grabbing, and get him out of our bed at night. From the beginning Thurman's Place communicated with us each day with pictures and videos of the training process. They provided us with information to help us continue to support Ryder when he came home. He is doing so great and we are finally able to enjoy our dog! Ryder learned so much AND WE LEARNED SO MUCH.
