Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed our doggie day school program did not meet your expectations. Our certified trainers collaborate weekly to create fun learning games for the pups. Camp Bow Wow is "free play" all day. It's like sending your "human" kid to school and they participate in recess only all day. It's good physical stimulation, but they are NOT learning manners, basic socialization skills, or being mentally stimulated (human version of reading a book, problem solving, and learning impulse control). Top dog is an Interactive Doggie Day School that focuses on the dogs’ Psychological Well-Being. In our day school setting, our enrichment activities offer personal attention and help in reinforcing social manners and training. Besides free play, which is important too, structured games allow the dogs to use their instinct, skill and physical abilities during purposeful play. The purpose of enrichment is to reduce stress in dogs and to reinforce socialization practices. Providing a dog with enrichment allows them to have a sense of control over their environment, which can help to reduce and avoid stress. We are so sorry and this was your 1st impression of Top Dog. Your dog should not have gone in the wrong kennel another dog. This is unacceptable and an embarrassment to our team. We value the safety of our client's k9 family members and have created policies to protect them while in our care. We now have numbered kennel collars for each dog to wear to prevent a mistake like this from ever happening again. We are a smaller facility. Unfortunately, if a dog has an accident in their kennel, it can linger for several minutes. We have an exhaust fan to circulate stale air, but the gasier the dog, the longer it takes to clear the air. We use crates for many reasons...house training...emergency rescue training...giving the dog a safe place...fearful dogs feel more secure in an elevated "den like" house. They can see what's going on, without being in the center of the action. We recommend ALL dogs are crate trained in case of a natural disaster and/or car wreck. 1st responders and/or animal control will house your dog in a crate for a safe transport. Crate training your dog as a puppy will encourage them to have a "safe place" when they need to decompress. just like a child goes to their bedroom to decompress.
