FirstBarkAbsolutely adore Jen and her passion is so clear for all of the dogs she trains. We brought her our 10 mo shelter dog with some reactivity issues and after a few weeks the change in her behavior was noticeable to us and our friends and family! It's so freeing to know I can take her out with us without needing to worry about her snapping at other dogs or being too anxious to enjoy anything.

About Top Paw K9 Academy
Effective training is a partnership between dog and handler based on trust, love, and science. Dogs are more complex and advanced than we think and so is training them. Training a dog is about mutual trust and respect. Being receptive to different training methods is essential in bringing your dog to their full potential. Each dog is unique to their breed, just as much as they are to their own learning style; therefore relying on one training method is impractical. That’s why I don’t choose a specific technique for every dog. One method could be detrimental to another. My life’s passion and purpose is to bring you and your dog closer than ever through trust, communication, and an understanding of each other.

Ruby has been back with Jennifer at Top Paw 3 times now for training. (I travel a LOT and Jennifer is by far the top person I trust to watch her). Every time Ruby has stayed with Top Paw, what I’ve wanted hasn’t fit into one of the exact programs offered, and they have worked with me on creating custom plans just for Ruby and my goals with her. This most recent time some of the things she worked on were introducing Ruby to the e-collar, tightening up her heel and middle, and putting an emergency down on her. Top Paw has always been nothing short of amazing to work with and has very much become a second home for Ruby. Jennifer very much treats the dogs she takes in as her own. I take Ruby EVERYWHERE with me and am constantly getting comments on how well behaved she is and people asking where she was trained. Absolutely money well spent and even though I’m moving across the country in a few weeks, I absolutely plan to still work with Top Paw for any future dogs too.

With a dog almost as big as I am, I had no idea how I would be able to train him. It's not the dog it is that I had no idea where to begin. I followed Top Paw K9 Academy on TikTok and reached out for training. It was easy to communicate with them and get him set up. I couldn't leave the front door open without this dog's anxiety kicking in. But since getting him back I can take him on 2 walks a day and we sit outside with no problems. We even visited a few garage sales in the neighborhood. Can't say thanks enough to Jennifer and her patients with Khaos.
Jennifer is wonderful! And our puppy, Oso, had the best time at his 2-week board/train fundamentals program. I was so impressed with how much he learned.

Amazed you see a lot of social media trainers promoting training sessions and what to do how to do it but taking the leap of faith and flying from Maine all the way to Colorado by far the BEST thing I’ve ever done I contemplated so hard about making this choice but wow marvel went in just a pup and came out a young man lol I say that he’s only 4 and a half months but wow a dramatic change focused ready to learn ready to please the whole staff over at top paws hands on and very very professional really sets you up for successful and makes sure you have all the proper tools needed this post is funny to write because I’ll be headed right back in 3 weeks for service dog training phase one complete I’m so extremely blessed and thankful for top paw k9 Jen YOU ROCK GREAT PERSONALITY AMAZING ALL AROUND THE BOARD
