Topline Canine

I can't say enough about Topline Canine. Meagan was a miracle worker for Cinnamon and me. My 4 year old Toy Schnauzer was such a perfect pup for us, but had terrible social issues when taking walks. This 12 pound pup thought that she could challenge any dog with barks, aggressive behavior, and snarls. Meagan was here for an hour of teaching both Cinnamon and me how to correctly use our electric training collar with verbal commands. Within one week of training on our walks, she responds to verbal commands to sit at my side, walk at my side without pulling, no barking or challenging other dogs, and seemly enjoying our time together. I no longer need to worry about what's coming around the corner. We got it!!!

Our 2 year old Tibetan Mastiff, Chief, was the most amazing chill puppy ever. We hardly ever had to even correct him. Following a move & a traumatic event w/one of our other dogs (Chief's buddy), he became very protective. Additionally, at our new home, the neighbor would let his dog roam off leash, come on our property up to our fence line which only triggered Chief more to very aggressive barking, jumping at the fence, etc. When we would try to call him in, it was like he couldn't even hear us.The aggression began to carry over to our taking him on walks too. When we would try to pull the leash or collar to refocus him, he began redirecting his aggression towards us. He bit at us a few times, not breaking the skin but really bruising us.We put him in a training collar & while it could assist if the dog came up to our fence, on our walks it only provoked his aggression more. Just to help provide understanding on the night and day difference we were seeing in Chief, he was asked by the vet to be a blood donor. They only select very special, mild-mannered candidates as it requires shaving in the neck area&about 30 minutes of their head being held for blood donation from the jugular vein. That's how mello Chief can be. We spent a significant amount of time researching training services. We desperately needed help to regain trusting Chief&stop his aggression. Some trainers aren't willing to take on a massive breed that is already showing signs of aggression. Topline stood out to us not only because of the experienced trainers but because of their lifelong committment to our precious companions and our success with them. During the initial meeting at our home w/Chief and one of the trainers, you could immediately see her skill set at work on how she initially approached meeting Chief. She took a lot of time in listening to us for over an hour. By the end of the meeting Chief was laying at her feet. We were really leery about the board and train program but it was the best thing we ever did. We did the mid-way training with him to see how he was doing and to practice our responsibilities too. Having the 3 week break was a needed "reset" for all of us. Chief came home calm w/a clarity on listening despite triggers & our walks are so much better. Now, old habits die hard so we have had Chief's primary trainer, Megan, come to our home once but that's the level of commitment Topline has. I get a response to my texts within an hour or 2& Megan drove hours to come see Chief in his own environment & go on the walk w/us to give us guidance. Topline is like part of our family. Their support & listening gives both Chief & our family guidance so we are set up for success together. They also helped us have a process for introducing new people in our home. Big dogs, not controlled, leaves them kenneled while guests visit or can put guests at risk. Topline helped us find the balance of hosting guests and not having to kennel Chief the whole time they're here. Boarding&ongoing training is another huge perk. We were afraid to leave Chief w/just anyone to go on vacation. We couldn't chance the liability or trust that just anyone could handle him. If he would bite, he's going to be labeled at fault no matter what given his breed. Stephanie&Megan love and handle him just like we do&he is completely obedient w/them. We know he's in good hands&the Instagram posts let us see his fun visits&training progress while we're away. I can't recommend Topline enough. Our investment in training was well worth the peace of mind knowing we have help anytime we need it so that Chief never becomes labeled by neighbors as too aggressive or things get to a point where we aren't able to handle our sweet boy. He's amazing with just us but we can't live in a bubble:) Don't reach a point of escalation with your pet. Invest in Topline and get successful training and support for the life of your pet. It's worth it!

Topline Canine was a birthday gift from my daughter. My Golden Retriever is a rescue we adopted 5 years ago. She was not energetic & was resistant to exercise. Walks were very challenging, to say the least. Stephanie evaluated her & worked with me to introduce positive ways to motivate her. After applying Stephanie's techniques, my furry has made good progress & has even lost those extra pounds. Thank you, Stephanie!

Koda is my sweet 3 year old mini goldendoodle. He had been struggling with anxiety which manifested as reactiveness, lots and lots of barking, as well as crying while I was at work. I had been wanting to send him to Topline for a while and Stephanie was always patient in hearing my concerns and waiting for a time that was right for me to send him. He attended the board and train for the recommended number of days after our home visit. It’s been a week now since I picked him up and we’ve had our follow-up session and it’s so amazing to see what a difference this has made for both him and myself! He is less reactive and is able to stay home without barking or crying while I’m gone. He’s gaining confidence when out in the social world and so am I as a result. I would 100% recommend Topline for anyone who is struggling to manage their dogs behavior. They treat our babies with as much love and care as we do and that is priceless ❤️
