Total Recall, more like Total Fail I recently had an unfortunate experience with Total Recall K9 boarding facility, which left me feeling quite disappointed. Having entrusted them with the care of my three beloved dogs on numerous occasions, I was taken aback by the lack of coordination during my recent vacation. To my surprise, several days into my vacation, I received txt messages inquiring about grooming services for my dogs while they were in their care. While this understandably frustrated me initially, as such matters should have been discussed prior to boarding or drop-off, I decided to give it a chance, as I had been planning to groom my pet Foxy anyways and saw this as a convenient opportunity. After some back-and-forth communication, we settled on having Foxy groomed and the nails of the other two pups trimmed. I eagerly anticipated picking up my well-groomed and happy dog upon my return. Alas, my expectations were shattered when they brought out Foxy, and I noticed that the grooming had not been carried out. Her mane appeared disheveled and coated with sticky residue, leaving much to be desired. Surprised by the outcome, I enquired about the situation. To my dismay, all four staff members seemed puzzled, exchanging glances before informing me that they do not directly schedule the groomer, as they are a third-party entity responsible for their own scheduling. This raised two concerns in my mind. Firstly, I had never explicitly granted Total Recall K9 permission to share my information with a third party. Secondly, I firmly believe that Total Recall K9 should bear full responsibility for all matters concerning my dogs during their boarding, including any contacts made for additional services. The incomplete grooming and the disheveled appearance of my dog upon pickup was highly unsatisfactory. Furthermore, upon arriving home, I noticed my dogs drinking water for a prolonged period, suggesting that they had been deprived of adequate hydration during their stay. I couldn't help but question the reasons behind the lack of sufficient water provision. Naturally, I expected a call from the owner of Total Recall K9, either offering a discount or assuming responsibility for the failed grooming service. Unfortunately, it was the groomer who reached out, stumbling through an apology. Regrettably, it was too late for such apologies, and I promptly ended the call. On a positive note, I hope that Total Recall K9 takes this incident as a valuable lesson and endeavors to improve their customer service standards. It is unfortunate that due to this experience, they have lost the opportunity to cater to my needs as a customer in the future.
