Town and Country K9

We did a 4 week board and train and my babies came home today. WOW! what a difference. I am so pleased with their progress and what Jake was able to accomplish with them in 4 weeks. I am so excited that we are going to be able to take them camping, riding and all the other activities we had excluded them from. I absolutely would recommend Town and Country K9. I cannot express enough how pleased we are with the communication daily on their progress, (pictures, videos) and the time that was taken with my husband and I today training us so we can continue helping them achieve goals! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

We sent our 1.5 year older pit/jack mix to Jake earlier this month. We cannot be happier with the changes we have seen in Margot. When we adopted her she was about 3 months old. She was great with our then 2.5 year old hound mix, and with my 8 and 10 year old children. As time passed and she got older and more comfortable , she developed some challenging behaviors, like guarding my children from Rudy, nipping at his legs and very rough play, not respecting Rudy’s space, refusing to share toys and go after him if food was present ( Human or dog). Eventually, she stopped responding to commands and constantly jumped up on us, counters tops, tabletops and on guests when they would arrive. This all came to a head when 11 year old was sitting on the couch and both dogs were hanging out with him. He went to pick Margot up, she refused and growled, Rudy checked her and she went after him. It was over in a flash. Rudy was fine but my son was caught in the middle and ended up with a bite on his hand. Thankfully, my son got two stitches and he is back to normal. However, in what I would call a pretty active, loud at times with a lot of come and go traffic, it became clear we needed help. I spoke with Jake briefly and we decided to do the 3 week training program. Wow, what a difference! Margot came home happy, confident, super excited to see Rudy and ready to show us what she had learned. Jake spent over three hours with me describing the training. He talked in detail about dog behaviors, their responses to stimuli. and how we can contribute to their anxieties or help keep our dog calm and engaged by providing clear and straight forward commands. Rudy and Margot’s relationship is much better. She respects his space and allows him to receive love and affection from us. When guests come over there is no fear that she will jump uncontrollably or head out the door. Although we have had some challenges adjusting our behaviors, Jake has remained a text or phone call away to address any questions or concerns that we have and offering advice and guidance. I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for all the hard work Jake put forth with Margot. We have a safer and most importantly a happier, more connected and in time a fully trained family and home!

I boarded my 8 week Great Dane puppy Freya with Town And Country K9. I couldn’t be happier with the results! She came in very skidish with no confidence. Now she has confidence to walk on her own. She had big issue with potty training, she’s had a couple accidents but nothing like she was. Freya now has basic obeisance commands that have made me and my girlfriends life 100x easier. Freya is still a puppy and still is having whining issues at home, but Jake spent extra time at home with us to go over options that will help her towards not whining as much. Jake even included multiple training aids to help us give what she needs training wise. Overall I was skeptical giving my puppy away for 2 weeks. But with Jake and town and country he made me feel like she was family. Everyday i got videos and pictures and everyday I saw her progress. I will definitely only use Jake as Freya trainer for her life span, and am so glad I was able to find him.

We enrolled Harley, our five month old very hyper puppy in the three week training program and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From day one, the environment was loving, supportive and focused on building. Trust not just obedience. Jake showed Patient and consistency and genuine care for Harley’s well-being as well as his behavior – we saw real improvements in focus, manners and confidence, and we learned so much as owners too. This program was truly worth every penny and we highly recommend town and country canine to anyone looking for a positive effective!!
