Traction is awesome! We've been working with Will for just over a month with our anxious older dog. We've already seen huge improvements in his basic obedience (who says an old dog can't learn new tricks?). There is slow but definitely noticeable improvement in crate training and noise anxiety (things that do not improve quickly for any dog). Will is super engaged, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. Mara was also super helpful and knowledgable during the initial intake process. Traction has a boarding program that we are hoping to use in the future that we are expecting to give us peace of mind, knowing our dog is in good hands when we're out of town!

Will has done a great job working with Archie on his dog reactivity and giving us the tools to better manage Archie’s anxiety around other dogs through the Homeschool program. He is very knowledgeable and always happy to answer any questions we have. If you’re willing to put in the homework to work with your dog as well outside of training sessions, then this is an amazing program. Will also takes the time to establish a solid relationship and gains the trust of the dogs he’s working with. Archie is always very excited to see Will and train with him. His approach of balanced training involving praise, treats, toys, and timely corrections/e-collar usage when needed has helped Archie in his interactions with other dogs both on and off leash. I look forward to seeing how much further Archie progresses with Will through the Varsity program!

Tina worked with my one-year-old dog to train advanced obedience, e-collar and scent work. It was a game changer for being able to have my dog off-leash with a reliable recall. She is the best behaved dog I know because of all the valuable help I received. Tina also debunked a lot of myths around dog training and generally is extremely passionate and knowledgable.

Without a doubt, Will and Traction's Homeschool Program have exceeded even my wildest expectations. My dog is reactive and unpredictably so -- I turned to Traction after trying numerous "positively only" classes and techniques in Boulder. Those other classes work initially and then fade; we would be back to the beginning, and my frustration would grow. Will's approach couldn't be more different-- at the end of the first hour, he suggested and implemented shifts that had an immediate impact. Some felt small (how many toys she could see), some felt more significant (the prong collar), but the all pointed to recalibration my relationship with my dog and her relationship with the stimulus in her day to day. Mostly, Will seems to have a truly magical blend of accessibility and firmness with teaching both me and my dog how to change her behavior. He constantly tailored his approach to fit what he was learning about what worked, and didn't, with my dog, slowly built her skills so she could learn, fail, and course correct. And patiently reminded me on how to perfect my timing, use of cues, etc. My dog is noticeably a different dog -- just as joyful, curious, and goofy; but with more confidence, patience, and calm. Have been - and will continue to - rave about Will and Traction's Homeschool Program to any and everyone who asks or hints at struggling with similar issues. They're worth every penny and minute!
