We recently rescued a beautiful blue eyed 3 month old Aussie Shepherd and Jack Russell Terrier. We soon realized we had our hands full! After a couple of days we thought we made a big mistake and we might have to relinquish her. Friends of ours had similar problems with a new puppy and encouraged us to talk to Traction Dog Training to help us with our nippy, high jumping, high energy, but adorable new addition. Immediately during our initial conversation I felt hopeful that we might be able to take this on! We were fortunate to work with Kelsey and in a short 3 weeks we have a puppy who . isn’t biting . is house broken (she has a potty area on bark in our yard) . knows her name . comes when called . is leash and crate trained . sits on command and is a wonderful companion. We are so pleased with Kelsey and her training of our puppy, Pandy, and we also appreciate the confidence we gained with her help. Kelsey is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone who needs dog training!

I can highly recommend Traction Dog Training Club. The sign up process was easy. They got back to me immediately and set up a meeting that worked for my schedule. They were very thorough in their intake process so we got a personalized program. There were specific issues I needed help with and those were focused on. They explained what I could expect with the at home boot camp. I really liked that I didn’t need to board my dog but that our trainer came to the house. Tina was our trainer and she was awesome! She is professional and fun and very experienced. I felt good about putting my dog in her care and he loved working with her! Tina taught me so much about their training process and broke down each step so I understood how to continue working with him. It’s been a great experience and I will definitely use Tina for additional training in the future.

Kelsey has been an amazing trainer for our Pyrenees/GSD mix who’s moving from puppyhood to adolescence. He was a wild child who couldn’t be contained and whose unruly behavior was driving my wife and I to the edge of our sanity, despite our best efforts on our own researching training online. Within one session with Kelsey we saw a total 180 and while he’s still a wild child he understands more of the rules of the game and is enjoying a happy puppy life with us and shows continual improvement in training under Kelsey’s guidance. We’re so glad we chose Traction and that Kelsey is our trainer. Truly a life-saver.

Working with Traction Dog Training has been a truly transformative experience. We reached out for support with our 1-yr old miniature aussie, Delilah, who was reactive on walks and very afraid of other people, especially in our home where she would bark uncontrollably for hours whenever someone came in to visit. We worked with Will using the tutoring program and each week passing by was like owning a totally different dog! Will is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and was the perfect trainer for our once fearful pup. Through the training sessions and homework Delilah gained confidence and became more obedient, and we as owners learned the tools and techniques to be better trainers and leaders ourselves. As an unexpected, added bonus, the training skills we’ve learned have transferred to a noticeable change and improvement in the behavior of our 5-yr old golden retriever as well (proving you can teach an old dog new tricks)! Our family couldn’t be happier with the results of this experience and are forever grateful to Traction Dog Training and Will. 10/10 would recommend!

This place has been fantastic in helping with our puppy Juniper! She learned so much with her homeschool program and continues to easily use what she has learned every day. Tina and Mara have been so helpful and friendly. I will return to them time and time again if ever we have training needs.
