Train in Love Dog Training

Normally I don’t write reviews and I only 5 stars to the EXCEPTIONAL but this woman has a pure heart of gold. Her passion for what she does it beyond compare. When she sent the link to write the review she didn’t say “to help my business” she said “if you have time to write a review I would appreciate it. It helps me reach more dogs and change more lives.” I have never been so at ease around anyone and never felt so comfortable leaving my dog with anyone for weeks. A puppy unexpectedly showed up at my house at the most emotionally inopportune moment possible. Very cute and sweet boy but the puppy energy (biting, chewing, destroying, etc) was too much to handle. We never found his owners and I knew my children were getting attached so we decided to keep him. Kristin with Train In Love transformed our miniature bull in a china closet in to a refined gentleman. He minds, he has stopped biting, howling, jumping, yanking in the leash and all of those other, patience wearing, activities puppy’s bring. Kristin gave us the best gift, she gave us a happy, calm home. When I dropped him off, I delivered to her adorable chaos but when I picked him up she gave me peace and sanity. She taught Bo how to be a member of the family. The picture I added is of her taking the time to teach my kids how to maintain the work she put in to teaching Bo. She spent time teaching the whole family how to meet Bo’s needs while setting appropriate boundaries for him. We were at a busy track with children. And other dogs and we were able to be off leash! Which was huge for us seeing as a few short weeks ago we could hardly take in the back yard with one. I can’t thank her enough!

I did the 3 week train and board for my pit bull, Winry. While Winry didn’t have any major behavioral issues, she needed some fine tuning (jumping, recall, anxiety, waiting for my lead on a leash, etc.) that required a consistency I did not have to lay the training foundation, especially when we were in the process of selling my house and moving into an apartment. Kristin did amazing with her. Many of my friends that knew Winry before her training tell me she is like a new dog. I’ve been able to walk her off lead even, which would have gave me great anxiety and no way would have thought possible before. Winry had an issue with growling while playing as well. Though I know that is her just playing, because she is a pit bull I was very anxious about how others would react to her doing so given our apartment has a dog park. While Winry still would growl while playing when she came back, I am proud to say that with the tools that Kristin gave me and the foundation she laid, Winry can now play as much and hard as she wants without the vocalization. Post train and board, Kristin did two follow-ups with us, one a couple weeks after Winry came home and one at just short of a year after. Both times were more so to make sure I’m staying trained and consistent rather than anything to do with Winry’s ability or training. Again, Kristin was amazing and reassuring in both of our growth and capabilities. I’ve even used the tools she has taught me to help redirect other people’s dogs in a more effective manner. I would most certainly recommend to anyone and use Train in Love again.

Highly, highly recommend TRAIN IN LOVE DOG TRAINING!! I wish there were ten stars to give instead of five!! Kristin has destressed our lives. We have a 10 month old male French Bulldog, Kash. We live on a small farm and we wanted to make sure Kash is always safe. Anyone who knows anything about frenchies knows they have a mind of their own, they zoomie at high speeds, eat everything under the sun including chicken poop, his poop, bugs, dirt and the list goes on. Our goal was to get him to respond to our commands to come, stay, and to leave it. It seemed the more we yelled or said no he ran faster and ate whatever he shouldn't quicker. We wanted Kash to enjoy the acreage and our other pets we have on the property without casualties. LET ME JUST SAY KRISTIN MORE THAN EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. He walks with the chickens and plays with the cats. We can open a door knowing he is not going to bolt out, he waits until he is asked to come. We can go for walks without him picking something up and running off with it. We not only have a well mannered Kash, but we gained a friend for life. Kristin is so knowledgeable and cares deeply for each precious dog she trains. Kristin, thank you so very much!!!
