Train Walk Poop

Our 5-month old Pitbull puppy, Pricilla, recently completed the 4-week board-and-train program at Train Walk Poop with trainer Amelia, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Priscilla is incredibly strong-willed and stubborn (as many puppies can be), so we wee looking for a structured program that could help channel her energy while teaching her solid foundational skills. Amelia did an outstanding job. One of the biggest improvements we've seen is with her polite greetings, not just with people, but with other puppies as well. Priscilla also learned how to walk without pulling on the leash, which has completely transformed our daily walks into something calm and enjoyable rather than a tug-of-war. Another highlight of the program was Social Class. Pricilla absolutely thrived in that environment. It helped build her confidence, improved her responsiveness and allowed her to practice appropriate interactions with other dogs in a structured setting. My partner and I spend a lot of time on the water paddle boarding and kayaking, so it's important to us that Priscilla develop balance, coordination and body awareness. Amelia incorporated exercises that supported these skills beautifully, which was something we really appreciated and hadn't seen emphasized in other training programs. One of my favorite parts of the program was the daily report cards. Each day we received a detailed description of the activities and training Priscilla worked on, along with photos or videos. It was so reassuring to see her progress in real time and stay connected with her while she was in the program. We also really looked forward to our weekly "parent-teacher conferences." These one-on-one sessions with Amelia and Priscilla were incredibly valuable. They allowed us to see the training techniques in action and ask questions, and practice the skills ourselves so I could confidently continue reinforcing her training at home. The level of communication and support made a huge difference for us as dog owners. Amelia's knowledge, patience and clear passion for what she does truly shows in the results. We brought home a happier, more confident puppy with a strong training foundation and we feel much more equipped as dog owners because of the guidance we received. I would highly recommend Train Walk Poop and Amelia to anyone looking for professional, thoughtful and effective dog training.
