Train Your Pup

There is no place my dog and I would rather be than at Train Your Pup. Ruhe and I have been working with this great staff since she was 12 weeks old. We started with the puppy class and have never looked back. All the trainers have been patient, kind and have done a great job training me (and my little dog too). There were times I was ready to give up, certain that owning a dog was not in the cards for me, but Danielle and Greg were quick to step in and show me another technique to get us back on the right track. We've done everything from basic obedience to field trip classes and now we're giving the therapy dog class a whirl. I always leave a class feeling a little more confident in being a good handler. Ruhe's favorite part of Train Your Pup is definitely day care. She clearly knows the days of the week, because every Wednesday and Friday you can find her in the garage sitting next to the car promptly at 6:30 in the morning. She is exceptionally well-socialized with other dogs and I owe that to day care. I am forever grateful to the entire staff at Train Your Pup for treating us like family. I can't imagine going through this pet-parent journey without them.

This place is pretty much my dogs' home away from home. They love coming here for boarding when I travel, and they especially love going next door to the sister business, Splash Your Pup, for swimming when the weather is gross. Whenever we arrive, my dogs drag me inside. There's no stopping them. They cannot wait to get into the facility and go have fun. Between the 2 businesses (Train Your Pup and Splash Your Pup), all services for my dogs are covered: daycare, boarding, training, swimming, and grooming. The owners and head trainers are certified and very knowledgable about each breed. The trainers even come to my home for private training (my dogs react to the doorbell and mailman, so training on-site at the source of the excitement is important), and they are always professional. I feel very lucky that we've found such a unique dog-friendly place in little Dayton. There's really no other facility like this anywhere else in Ohio.

My dogs and I LOVE Train Your Pup! We have utilized every aspect of this business from the private dog training, group classes, and now recently doggy day care. The staff are super knowledgeable. The facility is clean with lots of space. They have very reasonable pricing, particularly for the quality of services received! Danielle and Greg, the owners, go out of their way to help you and your dogs. They're really the best!!
