Training Aces Dog Training

I hardly ever write reviews, I only do them when I have an extraordinary experience. Training Aces Pet Services met and exceeded that requirement. This was the second time we had used Jamie's company. The first time was to board ourEnglish Springer Spaniel, Winston. Jamie collected a lot of information on health, feeding, emergency phone numbers and medication instructions. Jamie posted photos and videos allowing us to check and see what was going on. Winston wasn't crated all day, like other boarding kennels. Winston played with all of the other dogs in the big fenced yard and was exercised. When I picked up Winston, Jamie gave me a report of everything he and Winston did. Winston was happy and well. The second experience with Training Aces was to board and train with 13 month old Spinone pup, Gladys. My wife was going to have major back surgery and wouldn't be able to handle Gladys. Once again Jamie documented all the vital information including what Gladys needed to be trained on. Gladys was horrible when walked on a leash, pulling and not paying attention. We couldn't have Gladys pulling while Lori was recovering. Everyday we reviewed Gladys's progress. I couldn't stop saying "WOW!" When I picked up Gladys from her two week stay, I was greeted by Jamie and he reviewed the training Gladys received. Jamie also instructed me on how to keep up the training when Gladys got home. After saying "Thank you!" a thousand times, I walked Gladys on leash to my car. She didn't pull and payed attention. Gladys is a great dog. Wow, I got a greater dog back. Jamie did the impossible. I highly recommend Jamie and Training Aces Pet Services boarding and training program. If you having issues with your dog and nothing seems to work or just want a better behaving dog call Jamie and set a date to drop your dog off. It is nice to work with someone that truly loves his job and loves the dogs. Thank you Jamie!

Jamie at Training Aces has been my go-to caregiver, housesitter and dog trainer for 8 years. I wouldn't have it any other way! I used to live on a farm and Jamie would live at the farm while we were away. Now that we've downsized, my dogs usually stay at Training Aces but Jamie still feeds the birds and waters my plants. My dogs LOVE going to Training Aces! They run right over to the gate, tails wagging. Last year, I had to be away for a month. I was very upset thinking about leaving my guys for that long. I shouldn't have worried! Being with Jamie is like being at home for my pups. They laze on the sofa, sleep in Jamie's bed, and have the run of the spacious fenced-in yard. They have other dogs to play with and they all get along. Jamie even sent regular updates and photos. Trust Jamie and Training Aces to give your pet the excellent care they deserve!

I am the owner of a two year old Mastiff. She knows her regular obedience commands and she's a big sweet girl. And she plays well with others. But she did have a couple of behavior issues. Her excitement level can go from 0 to 10 in the blink of an eye. This means greeting people at the door can be overwhelming. With a 130 lb dog and little grandchildren, or older folks, this could be a recipe for disaster. The second serious issue was responding to the command "come" when off leash at the dog park. She'd kind of look over her shoulder and just keep going. Jamie spent time observing our dog and us. He formulated a plan and explained it to my wife and myself. He taught us why we were doing what we were doing. He gave us homework. He made a few trips to our home and also to the dog park. Each time Jamie was able to teach us a bit more. We now have an incredibly well behaved dog. When the grand kids are here, she's lying down four or five feet away. Even when they're eating at a table that's at her head level, she keeps a polite distance. When they pet her, she just wags her tail. There's no over excited crazy behavior when someone comes to visit, no barking, running through the house or overly zealous greeting. At the dog park, a request to come is responded to immediately, even if it means stopping playing with another dog. She'll go some distance off exploring and sniffing on her own, but always comes running to us when she sees we're getting too far apart. Quite frankly, Jamie gave us a much better behaved dog than we could have imagined. We and our dog are both happier.
