No. We do not use shock collars, e-collars, or any form of electronic stimulation. We understand their place but we don't recommend using them. Our philosophy is rooted in trust, communication and building connection, not control through discomfort.

Thankfully, Tyler helped us with his behavioral consultation that already provided some excellent tools to help get our dog (and our family) on track to a more manageable situation. We are also comforted by the fact that Tyler is available any time we have a question or concern.

Tyler was awesome. We have an anxious pup that is triggered by everything, from people to other animals, to a strong wind. We were always apprehensive to take her for walks as her behavior would seem scary and intimidating to people and animals. Tyler came to the house and taught us how to work with our dogs and their quirks. Having Tyler in the dogs environment helped immensely. There’s always the fear of leaving the trainer and having to return to the old habits in their comfortable place. We were able to learn tips in our own home. It has been almost a week and we have seen drastic differences in our dogs. We are able to walk them confidently knowing we can control them when their inner crazy may want to peek out. We highly recommend Training That Lasts and appreciate the knowledge and guidance Tyler provided.

Tyler was amazing! In the short 2 hours he worked with us he gave us the foundation, tools and confidence to better handle our male aggressive and anxious pup. We have not been able to safely take our pup on walks in MONTHS, but after just a few minutes, with the proper tools and techniques we were able to go out on a walk, encounter triggers and remain in control. The best part was that hours later, at the end of the day, my pup curled up on my lap and for the first time in forever, looked at me totally relaxed and comfortable without any stress or anxiety. It was as if he knew that we were FINALLY able to meet his needs and he was able to relax. Tyler restored peace in our home and I can’t wait to continue the progress as we continue working with Tyler in both group and 1:1 sessions.

Tyler with Training that Lasts has been invaluable to me while training my puppy Letty. We have been working with him since October 2023 shortly after adopting my then 4month old. I have learned so much over these 7 months and have grown in my bond with Letty through his shared knowledge. Letty and I worked with Tyler in private lessons and group lessons. Group lessons has made a big impact on her ability to be neutral around other dogs in public settings as well as when the neighbors dogs are at the fence. Letty did a board and train with Tyler while we were out of town and I never worried or had any doubt about the care she received. He also trained her to stay in one place in the car while she was with him and that has made doing life with her even more of joy. No more nose print windows! His education on nutrition helped give me the confidence to switch her to a raw diet which seemed "too different/difficult" to bother with initially. If you are considering using Training That Lasts, I'm here to say do it! It's worth the investment in your relationship with your dog(s).
