Training Wheels LLC

I went out of town for several days over the Christmas holiday and left my German Shepherd, Ava, with Training Wheels. I live in Fort Collins, but my dog trainer had highly recommended Jamie and her team for boarding. Ava struggles with being reactive to other dogs initially while on a leash, and we were concerned that any regular ol' boarding place might set her back from the training we have been doing the last couple of months, especially since this was the first time I'd ever boarded her. Janna was extremely helpful in getting a reservation set up and answering all of my questions. In addition, they were very accommodating for Ava's needs (having a separate place to sleep, dietary needs, etc.). My boyfriend was the one who dropped her off and picked her up in my absence, and when he was unable to pick her up on the night that we had arranged for pickup, they were extremely gracious and helpful in letting her stay an extra night and afternoon. I was very appreciative of this, knowing that they were swamped with reservations during the holidays. My boyfriend picked up a tired, but happy dog. Going forward, it's such a relief to know that there is a boarding place I can leave her and trust that she will be properly cared for and have her needs met.

I adopted Mishka in early 2019, after she had been rehomed twice prior in her short 3 years of life. Mishka is a husky malamute mix with a lot of personality and had a lot of insecurities (constantly afraid of noises, people, etc..) In the first two months that I had her, she managed to nip and/or bite three times. After we began to see Jamie, we immediately saw improvement. Using the positive reinforcement that Jamie taught us, Mishka has corrected her resource guarding of her kennel, learned how to go lay down, learned basic manners such as saying hi to trainers and most importantly - has not bit anyone. I have taken her to the lake, the vet along with long walks in the neighborhood and every experience has been positive since we started working Jamie. Jamie really is the best, and I would 10/10 recommend her!
