We cannot recommend Avory & Tribe K9 highly enough! After adopting our Great Dane/Poodle mix, Clover, from the Flagler Humane Society, we knew we needed help. She was the sweetest girl, but her enthusiasm for meeting every person and dog she encountered made leash walking a real challenge. Our goal was simple: get Clover walking calmly on leash and able to focus on us out in the real world. Avory built the foundation the right way. He started with relationship-building exercises that taught Clover to come when called and helped her understand that we were the most important people in her world. From there we worked through the fundamentals: place, sit, and down, making sure Clover truly understood what we were asking of her before moving forward. Once she had the basics down, Avory took us out into the community to proof her skills in real environments. We trained at Holland Park and worked through a variety of stores, gradually building Clover's confidence and ours. One moment says everything about the kind of trainer Avory is: during a session in St. Augustine, Clover got overheated and laid down in the shade. Rather than pushing her to continue, Avory scooped up our 75-pound Great Danoodle in a fireman's carry and walked her back to the car himself. That is dedication and genuine care for the dog. Throughout all 16 sessions, Avory guided us thoughtfully through every decision, from tool selection to training approach, always with deep respect for our preferences and what was best for Clover as an individual. We walked away having learned far more than we ever expected. Clover now carries herself with manners that rival a service dog, and the quality of life this training has given us with her is truly priceless. We absolutely love Avory & Tribe K9. We adopted a high drive German Shepherd, and while we have owned shepherds in the past, we were not prepared for this level of drive. Avory has helped to teach us how to reel in that drive, watch our dogs body language, and how to manage it productively. He has taught us and our Shadow different methods and techniques to help us improve quality of life for everyone in the household.
