Trustee Training Services

I have no regrets training with Trustee Training Services and Christine! If you are on the fence about training, or have a puppy that is a little older- this review may answer some questions! I know it’s lengthy. Initially, we pursued hiring a trainer for our pup (Mack) for several reasons but the main reasons were: he was nipping (playfully) for attention, not comfortable in the kennel when we left for the day (was doing ok at night), and jumping up on visitors. He isn’t a large breed dog. But we knew we wanted him to be safe around kids and have manners around visitors. We also wanted to learn how to communicate with him properly. We had never trained a dog to do more than sit, shake, and lay down- and we had that dog for almost 16 years. I say all this “we”, but I can tell you that my husband was skeptical about how this was all going to go. Mack was 8 months old when we started training. We didn’t get him until he was already 4.5 months old and there were several reasons we couldn’t start training until a few months later. After the first session meeting Christine, and how she explained and demonstrated the tasks and skills, we were both on board. It was clear that she knew what to do and how to troubleshoot our specific problems. She asked our expectations, sent AMAZING emails with detailed things to work on; video clips, and followed up via texts to see how things were going. We received these after each training session! She explained that some of the training may feel uncomfortable to us for a while- (for instance... more frequent kenneling) but was necessary for our end goal. And, of course, she was right! A few things/phrases didn’t work and she reworked it on the spot for us. She also discussed how to work on these training tasks with our 6 and 9 year old children. You have to be committed to it! But, know you won’t regret the respect your dog gives you when YOU are clearly communicating your expectations! Thank you Christine!

Christine is the BEST! I cannot recommend Trustee Training Services enough - she has helped us to harness our dog’s need for work and keep her a calm, happy puppy. I totally fell in love with Christine’s approach of using mutual respect to build a trusting relationship between dog and human, and what’s even better is that we never use treats - Gimli just works for her daily meals and it has been perfect. If you have a dog, I highly recommend utilizing Trustee Training Services!

Working with Trustee Training has been invaluable. AS a first time dog mom to a carrin terrier (notoriously stubborn and smart breed), I really appreciated Christine teaching me how to think JuJu (my dog) and incentives her to do positive activities while avoiding negative ones. We've been able to navigate aggression, teething, and the beginning of a bad barking habit while working on potty training, crate training, sit, wait, place, fetch, and touch. JuJu loves the challenge and I love the good behavior. Christine is awesome.
