She gave solid advice, demonstrated how to work on correcting the behavior issues, and had us demonstrate our understanding of what to do. We adopted a rescue, a beautiful female mix that is very stressed from extended pound life. She is completely docile with my 18 yr old grand daughter and somewhat less docile with my wife. She (Poppy), however, was probably mis-treated at some point by a male, as she is very guarded with me. During Tianna's absence for work or college, she warms up to me almost calm. As soon as Tianna returns and goes to her room upstairs, she (Poppy) became very protective and immediately barks and growls at me as soon as I engaged the stairs. Since working with Patty, we have learned how best to deal with this behavior by better understanding the causes. Poppy has improved noticeably and we are hopeful that she will continue to improve until we can all enjoy her as she is personable, responsively communicative and a good companion , thanks to Patty's knowledge and passion for animals.
