Trusty Dog Training Tulsa

We had a great experience working with Rebecca at Trusty Dog. When we first reached out, our puppy was only about 10 weeks old, and as first-time puppy owners, we were overwhelmed by all the conflicting and often outdated advice online. Our long-term goal is for our dog to safely go wherever we go…the golf course, ranch, outdoor adventures, and everyday life. We also wanted to work with someone who could not only train her, but also teach us how to best support her.. Rebecca started with a thorough in-home consultation and really took the time to understand our puppy, our concerns, and our goals. Her approach felt very customized rather than one-size-fits-all, which was a big reason we chose to work with her. We ended up doing a one-week board and train while we were out of town, and it was absolutely worth it. When we picked our puppy up, she was still completely herself (playful, funny, and very much a puppy) but she was more focused, eager to learn, looking to us for direction, and most importantly at that stage, no longer biting everyone! Rebecca kept us updated throughout the week and shared demo videos so we could reinforce the new behaviors at home. What I appreciate most is that Rebecca works with the owners just as much as the dog. She is hands-on, patient, knowledgeable, personable, nonjudgmental, and incredibly responsive. Any time we’ve had a question, she’s given us a thoughtful, helpful answer and is even willing to jump on a video call if needed. We’re planning to continue the second half of training when our puppy reaches her teenage stage in a couple of months, and I’m really glad we chose to take this approach. We will be doing training sessions out in real world environments and our home. If you’re in the Tulsa area and looking for a puppy trainer who will tailor training to your dog, your family, and your lifestyle, I highly recommend Rebecca. We’re very happy with the foundation she helped us build and see it as well worth the investment.

Rebecca found her calling in life! We call her “The Dog Whisperer” because she absolutely is! We were at our wits end with our new puppy. We called her Maddie No for a very long time. She wouldn’t listen, it was like there was nobody home. I found Rebecca on Facebook. She replied promptly and so professional! When we had our conversation via telephone, she had more questions for me than I did for her and that made me feel she was the right match. It was hard to let Maddie go for 4 weeks but absolutely worth it! She came back a 100% different pup! In fact she obeyed more than our other dog which we labeled the angel dog! Also, we had feedback almost daily from Rebecca showing us her progress. She came to our town and stayed 2 days so she could walk us through everything. And in case we forgot , she also she wrote out everything Maddie could do and how we can stay on top of her training and continue enjoying her at home. We 1 MILLION % recommend Rebecca! I’ve included before and after pics. lol the grooming was after we got her back but these are definitely a perfect resemblance of the before and after Maddie went to Rebecca! 💓

We adopted our coonhound puppy in 2024 and immediately knew we were in for a ride. Clover was full of energy, with a very strong prey drive, and desire to have her way. We worked with a trainer at that point who helped us manage day-to-day life a bit better, but who relied entirely on treats to get the desired behavior. We had turned into human vending machines and still did not know how establish boundaries whether it be on walks or at home. Things came to a head this year when we tried to get Clover to sleep in the dog bed instead of the human bed and we had no success. Sleep deprived, we reached out to Rebecca hoping that one day we could sleep through the night without getting karate chopped in the ribs by a dog leg at 2am. From the very beginning, she communicated promptly and clearly. She visited the house for an initial free consultation and helped us see how a lot of Clover's behaviors, including resistance to sleeping in the dog bed, were all associated with a lack of boundaries and implementation of consequences. We signed up for the at-home lessons and Rebecca visited our home weekly. From the first lesson, we were amazed at how quickly things clicked for Clover. Within a few weeks, she was no longer lunging at food on the table, pulling on walks, or eating junk in the backyard. We were able to take her more places and have friends and family over for meals. Most importantly, Rebecca implemented lessons with total respect and dignity for Clover. There were no raised voices or "inhumane" punishements. And also no treats! She did a great job equiping us with the tools to replicate her method by ourselves at home and by our last lesson, Clover was sleeping soundly in her dog bed through the night. Her mindset had totally changed from "I always get what I want" to "I'm allowed to do some things, and not others." Now that we've finished our lessons, we are amazed at how different, and more fulfilling, all of our lives are: Clover can join us now on public outings, she can have free range of the yard, have a longer leash on walks, and the humans get to relax more without having to be constantly vigilant or reaching for kibble. We're so grateful to Rebecca for her expertise and skill. In addition to being an animal training wizard, she is a beautiful soul with such an openness and curiosity towards dogs' inner worlds - she brings out the best in them so that we can all love them a little bit better.

I can not say enough good things about Rebecca!! I had gotten two Pomeranian puppies and Rebecca was referred to me by a friend. I wanted someone that would come to my home and help me get the puppies off to a good start. She was SO knowledgeable about every detail big and small and was so patient with all my questions. Everything from housebreaking , grooming, feeding, getting used to a leash etc… I felt confident after every lesson that I could continue what she had taught. You can tell she truly loves dogs and they love her.!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!

We needed help with our 12 week old Cavapoo puppy and I looked for trainers in the Tulsa area. I reached out to Rebecca and she was a good fit,.. we did not want a big chain training company,… we wanted a local trainer and she was 100% the right fit for us. Rebecca came by the house to meet us and our puppy Mookie. She is super professional and had a great attitude towards training. We did a 6 week program with Rebecca and results were seen immediately. After our biggest issues were getting fixed, Rebecca worked on some basic obedience. Her entire training method is very positive and she did a great job of including us thru all of it. If you are looking for a trainer I could not recommend anyone better than Rebecca! What she did for us was incredible. Mookie behaves better now and that means he can get attention from everyone!
