I highly recommend getting personal training for your dog (and family) from Rebecca. She was very flexible with the scheduling and the location. We did 4 classes starting at our house and mixing both indoor, backyard and neighborhood walking. We then also scheduled 2 classes outside of our house one in a park, and one together with another dog to practice the distraction of walking with friends with dogs.
Our dog made amazing improvements in each session and he is now much more polite and easy to walk.

It was a pleasure working with Rebecca! She was very friendly, professional, and communicative during the 8 weeks she worked with us and our 1 yr old half-golden/half-collie, Beau. We shared with Rebecca the challenges we were running into with Beau and she built our sessions around repetition of positive behavior using positive reinforcement (was very effective for Beau). Even after the first session we began to notice positive changes; more obedient/attentive leash walking; calmer demeanor when approaching other dogs, calmer greeting guests at the front door. Overall, we’re pleased with the results and would recommend Rebecca (Trusty Dog Training) to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

We recently added a puppy to our household, are were looking to set him up for good behavior, as well as correcting some behaviors with another adult dog in the house. Rebecca was extremely responsive with her communication, provided great follow-up notes after each session, and was always prompt to our appointments. She also provides extended follow up communication after the in-person training has ended. We were very pleased to see that she was able to personalize training for each dog, and we saw immediate positive behavior after each training session. I am so very grateful to have met and worked with Rebecca for puppy training-- she has not only helped my puppy, but has offered so much great support, advice, direction and recommendations when I really needed it. I have a mini sheepadoodle and while I knew raising a puppy was going to be hard, I was still overcome with HOW hard. Olive had a tendency to nip when she was young, and really had a lot of unbridled energy to say the least. I felt like I was totally failing at controlling her and that I was doomed to have an unruly dog. Thank goodness for Rebecca- our sessions left me feeling a greater sense of hope and calm, and also showed me how important it is to set boundaries and schedules with puppies.
I SO appreciate being able to text questions to Rebecca- there were times when a behavior would happen and I would panic. But Rebecca would provide great suggestions on things to try to curb or change whatever was going on. It was such a help to know I had support! We had sessions in my yard, in the house, a play date with her dog and my boss' puppy for socialization, and a few sessions at parks to work on recall and being around other dogs, etc. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of having her come to the house-- especially during COVID times. She takes all precautions and it worked out great- it gave me a chance to have her see Olive in her element at home, and me the chance to not have to drive somewhere and be around a big group of people. SO helpful!
She was amazing at providing product recommendations too- from slip knot leashes, pinch collars, to mental exercises, etc. To this day, the pinch collar has been life-changing. To be able to walk Olive with a "loose leash" feels so great- I feel confident and Olive knows the rules. (no pulling!)
Rebecca is incredibly smart and very well educated on dogs- her degrees show that but so do her actions...she knows about different breeds and behaviors, and has such a wealth of insight on how to approach training. She is personable, punctual and overall awesome. I really felt like I had a partner in helping to train, which means the world to me. I think Olive has made some great strides now that she is 9 months old. I plan to stay in touch with Rebecca for if and when we need a "tune up" session on a certain skill.
