Turning Point Dog Training

I rescued my dog, Harlow from City Dogs and I knew right away I needed to look for help with training her. She was so fearful of anything that moved and was very reactive toward other dogs. I needed an expert to help me train her in a way that would build her confidence and trust in people. I found Turning Point through some excellent online reviews and booked an evaluation with Anthony. He reassured me that Harlow’s issues were definitely manageable and after a few sessions with him she and I both had the skills and tools to navigate the world while minimizing her triggers. Since moving to their new location they offer structured boarding which is such a nice service! I know everyone there has the skills to manage Harlow’s reactivity and I swear every time I pick her up she’s like a totally different dog. Her manners are on-point and I can tell they spend a lot of time working obedience skills and building confidence through structured activities. I’ve sent so many of my friends to Turning Point and will ALWAYS recommend them. I am forever grateful for what Anthony and Paige have done for Harlow and myself. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Adding on: our new neighbors have VERY barky/reactive dogs at the fence. Harlow was out back today when they came out and she paid them almost no mind. DEFINITELY would not have been possible without all of the guidance and practice we’ve had with the team at Turning Point! Forever grateful!!

Turning Point was such an amazing place for our Bernedoodle puppy, Brodie, to both train and be socialized and make friends. He would get so excited every time we took him there to the point that when we were moving out of town, one of the hardest parts became leaving Turning Point. Our trainer, Jess, was so helpful both with instructing Brodie and helping us to have the tools to expand on his training at home. The entire staff at Turning Point provided such a happy and worry/stress free place for us to bring Brodie. We would recommend it to anyone looking for effective training and/or a structured daycare environment. Not to mention you get to meet amazing people who are so kind and helpful.

As the owners of a high energy 9 month old Aussie, we knew we needed help training Eve thoroughly to allow us to safely walk her, run her off leash (some day!), and behave when we have company at the house. With 4 adults + 2 kids involved in raising Eve, we decided the consistency of Board & Train would create the best results. I was nervous to give up our girl for 4 weeks but after meeting with Paige for just 1 hour, I knew we were in the right place. Paige is unbelievably knowledgeable about dog training and so passionate about the dog's wellbeing. After daily updates, videos, and photos for 4 weeks, Eve came home yesterday and we are absolutely blown away by her new skills - sit, down, place, come - and her on leash behavior is better than we'd hoped. Paige took her time educating the 6 of us on how to keep up her training in a united, uniformed way. There is no way we could have done this without Paige. I cannot recommend Turning Point Dog Training and Paige more!

Paige and her team are absolutely fabulous! We have a bernedoodle and he was exhibiting some unfavorable behaviors (jumping, eating blinds, pulling me the entire walk) and we were looking for a solution! Our neighbor referred us to her and we couldn’t be happier! I got pictures and an update every day, which helps because I was worried about him. He is such a well-behaved dog now and we practice his commands every day - twice a day. To say that the stress levels in our house have gone down is an understatement. We really wanted to have bad habits curbed prior to adding a newborn and we are no longer worried about how our puppy will listen once the baby arrives! I would recommend anyone and everyone use Paige!

I am so glad I went to Paige! I’m sad our sessions have ended, but I already have plans for future classes and training since our puppy is only 5 months. I researched a lot of trainers in the Cleveland area and Turning Point had everything I was looking for. They really build your training based on your dog and what your goals are. We have built such a great foundation early in our dog’s life, and I have learned so many things I never would gotten outside of training. Paige is great and makes training feel doable when it can be overwhelming. I always felt comfortable bringing my questions to Paige without judgment. I have already recommended her to others, as I am so happy with our results. We have gotten compliments from our breeder and vet about how well our puppy is doing. It feels great to have the tools to make your dog the best they can be. If you’re on the fence, do it! It will make your life and your dog’s life better. ETA: we just finished up our first group class and it was a great way to keep Wendy’s training moving forward. It’s such a cost effective way to continue to get help from Paige. It was also beneficial to work around other dogs in a controlled environment where we all have the same goals. Looking forward to the next one! Adding more! We sent Wendy off for her mini board and train while we were on vacation and it was absolutely worth it. Wendy has already formed a lot of good habits through our initial training, but the board and train with Paige really enhanced the work we’ve been doing and she came back an even better dog than before.
