FirstBarkI have had 2 shoulder replacements in the last 6 months with Dr Erik Peterson (not to mention, multiple cortisone shots in both shoulders and hip). Coming from someone with moderate osteoarthritis, at a pretty early age, he has been a godsend! He’s kind, professional and truly cares about his patients! Recovery was so easy on both shoulders! He’s a phenomenal surgeon!!! I highly recommend him!

About Twin Cities Obedience Training Club
TCOTC is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the relationship between you and your dog. We provide quality training in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities in basic obedience, agility, flyball, tracking and therapy dog work, using principles of positive reinforcement and operant conditioning. Positive reinforcement training uses praise and/or treats to reward your dog for doing something you want him/her to do. Because the reward makes your dog more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing behavior. Additionally, this method can strengthen the bond between you and your dog.

My puppy will be starting Puppy Obedience on Sept. 16. He had had 2 distemper shots and will get 3rd and rabies on the 20th. Can he still participate? Any other shots required for classes?
No, that's fine. As long as you are following your dog's recommended vaccination schedule, which it sounds like you are, you are fine to start class.

How does someone become a trainer?
TCOTC offers opportunities to become an obedience trainer. The first step is to take a class called "Observing Behaviors" to learn about dog behavior and body language, and the basics of positive reinforcement and operant conditioning. Students who complete this class become assistant trainers and, with further training, may become obedience instructors.

Chelsea makes Agility for Fun a lot of fun for both humans and dogs. I have been taking classes from her since March and have learned a lot about agility and more importantly Murray and I have had a lot of fun!

We have been searching for a couple of years for a new dog training program/facility (we were very happy with our first location until they moved out of MN) and it was more difficult than we had thought because of high prices, difficult dates/times, and not a lot of options for training. I was excited to not only find a class I wanted to try with my dog to keep her practicing with her but also to release energy. I was extremely pleased and welcomed by a great instructor who is educated with the animals and demonstrates patience. I look forward to future sessions at TCOTC.
