Two Tails Training

When my dog and I went for a consult with Fernando we had already tried Sit Means Sit for a 3 week board and train. They told me that they “couldn’t fix” my dog and he wasn’t trainable. After I got him back from Sit Means Sit he was worse and he developed pretty severe dog aggression. Fernando took the time to get to know my dog and teach me how to communicate effectively with him. We have had 4 sessions so far and the difference in how my dog reacts is such a huge improvement. He is starting to be able to get close to other dogs, he obeys commands, and walks on a leash, and he has confidence for the first time ever. Fernando is also great with communication outside of sessions and is available whenever I have questions or I can send a video so he can help me with what I can improve on. I would recommend Fernando and Two Tails Training to anyone.

If you want to improve your relationship and your communication with your dog, it’s simple, hire Fernando. This is someone that genuinely cares about the well-being of your dog and wants to improve their quality of life. You could hire a large “well-known” brand where your dog will be another number on the to-do list, or you could hire a local, trusted and reputable business owner that is going to love your dog and go out of his way to text/communicate with you to make sure you are learning everything you need to know to get all the value out of this program. From video analysis to scheduling, he puts in the time to set you up for success, if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s easy to make finances an excuse for not following through on something like one-on-one training, but I can tell you as someone that has no “extra income” to go around I will never regret the decision to invest in my dog and knowledge of being a good dog owner. It’s worth every penny.

I know most people don't come to Google reviews to read essays, but if you've got a minute and are serious about helping yourself and your dog, read this one! I have a somewhat gigantic male GSD who I love immensely, but he developed significant fear based aggression towards other dogs and it began to hugely disrupt our lives, in addition to making me feel like an absolute failure as a dog owner. We were unable to bring him anywhere, I was afraid to walk him for fear of running into another dog (his leash manners weren't great, either), vet visits were incredibly stressful, and I was at a complete loss when it came to finding ways to make things better. The whole situation was awful, and we made no real progress with local trainers, despite pouring a ton of time, money, and effort into training. Two Tails drastically changed our lives, and I mean that in all seriousness. In just a few months we made more progress than we'd made in years, and Fernando and Courtney gave us the tools to keep building on that progress on our own. I'm a more knowledgeable and confident dog owner, and my dog now has the opportunity to do all the things he couldn't safely or happily do before. I can walk him wherever I want now, instead of cautiously walking the same loop around the block over and over, and he and I have a better relationship with one another. Both of our qualities of life have improved. We went from being accutely aware of how unmanageable and unhappy our dog was to being incredibly proud of his manners and composure when we go out somewhere - and it took less than 6 months. My only regret is that we didn't find Two Tails sooner, and I wish that every dog owner would work with a trainer as fantastic (and profressional) as Fernando!

Reaching out to Fernando to get help for my dog, Hazel, was the best investment I have ever made for the well-being of my dog’s life and for mine. Fernando is incredibly responsive and so easy to work with! My dog had no manners or boundaries. I couldn’t walk her outside without my arm being ripped off - among other issues. Over time, I have been able to introduce, train, and reinforce commands that every dog and owner should know. Fernando’s flexible scheduling allowed me to begin training as soon as it was convenient for me. He has always answered my questions outside of my training sessions and has followed up with my dog’s progress. I highly recommend Fernando and Two Tails Training!
