Ty The Dog Guy

We have loved our experience using the 9 week in home dog training with our trainer Melanie! She has been amazing to work with. She was always on time and was very kind and loving to our dog. We would text her questions during the week and she was always very responsive. We even texted her after the 9 weeks and she came to our home to give us some helpful tips. The transformation we have seen in our dog’s obedience has been incredible to watch and experience. We loved learning by watching the videos and receiving personal instruction from Melanie. We feel like we now have the tools to keep our dog well behaved. I recommend Ty’s program to everyone who needs dog training. His methods are extremely effective and easy to implement. We couldn’t be happier with our trainer Andrew and the whole Ty crew. They took us into the boarding training program on short notice, and delivered remarkable results for our little dude (a young, very husky-y husky). Everyone was transparent from day one. Instead of promising overnight miracles to secure a sale, the team broke down for us how training really goes: While the professional does indeed create the big changes you're paying for, those changes only stick if you, the owners, do you part to integrate them into your everyday routine. As the old cliche goes, it works if you work it. Instead of turning our dog into a robot or establishing a fear-based dynamic, Andrew simply introduced him to some structure. It's made our dog leagues more loving, trusting and flexible. He knows that following our lead gives him more of what he wants. When he’s on-leash, there’s almost zero pulling. When he’s off-leash on trails or in the yard, we can let him do his thing, knowing he’ll stay close. The list goes on, but you get the point. They’re not the cheapest, and who knows, maybe we could have gotten good results with a shorter, less intensive program. But we felt that if top-notch training would set us up for a lifetime of good times, it would be worth the investment. Thumbs up so far.

I have a 1.5yo Rhodesian ridgeback with a bite history. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to take her to park and could barely walk her in the neighborhood with her reactivity. I worked with Amber who was so incredibly helpful. I finally have some hope and confidence taking my dog out and about. Her anxiety and reactivity isn’t resolved but she’s like a new animal. So grateful Ty the Dog Guy was recommended by a co-worker. The 1:1 has given me great tools and the group classes help so much getting her exposure to other dogs. Thanks a million!

Joe is the best trainer I could’ve ever hoped to be the hero in bettering my pup’s and I life. My 3yr old Belgian Malinois spent 3.5 weeks with him (yes that part was hard for me) but she came home a few days ago and it’s been such cozy &happy! The price is on point and fair (IMO) in comparison to other trainers/camps. if you want results and don’t want to spend the money (and time) then idk you’re crazy to expect anything good? Joe is worth every penny and I could not be more happy! He showed clear care and compassion for while having Presley in his care and well educated and knowledgeable and able to explain what and how and when easily for a newbie at this training technique used. My mal had triggers and no off leash /recall and needed some work …. She needed work on her manners. Only a few days in staying true what Joe taught and explained we can walk without using her gentle leader and follows commands and is polite and she now runs freely in open parks without booking it first chance she gets. We’re only a few days in since being returned home but I am already feeling so much stress lifted for taking care of my dog (before we had to pack for like a trek over Mount Everest to prepare for her being a brat for a simple walk or game of fetch!
