I highly recommend TyCal K9! Being all the way in Louisiana and traveling to Houston, Texas for my Cane Corso’s training was absolutely worth it. From the beginning, Manuel (Owner) of TyCal K9 was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he does. He literally kept in contact with me every step of the way! I especially appreciated the time and effort put into training my Cane Corso in French and working with my son. That was something very important to me, and he made sure my son understood how to communicate and work with the dog properly. The training was not just about teaching commands—it was about building discipline, communication, confidence, and a better relationship between my son and his dog. I could tell that TyCal K9 Manuel genuinely cared about getting the best results for us. I had a great experience with Tycal K9’s board and train program! My dog has struggled with aggression, and they gave me a lot of great advice and guidance on how to continue working with him after training. I also really appreciate that they offer monthly or bi-monthly refresher courses to help keep up with the training and continue making progress. You can tell they give every dog the individual attention they need to be successful. Their communication throughout the entire process was also great. They kept me updated on how my dog was doing and his progress, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while he was away. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend Tycal K9 to anyone looking for trainers who are attentive, knowledgeable, and truly want to see you and your dog succeed!

We love Manuel and Jay! We came to Manuel on the recommendation of a friend to help us with our 18month working line german shepherd… We had his obedience to tighten up and we wanted to get him started in protection… Manuel is so clear in his communication with the dog, and his movements are so purposeful when training… and Jay is a great decoy! He definitely made Shadow a formidable deterrent… we can’t to keep training with Tycal!

We had an outstanding experience with TyCalJay. Our dog was already generally trained, but after our family faced the loss of my husband, he became more protective and unpredictable. Before training, one of my biggest concerns was whether my dog could safely accept someone new in my life. When I started dating, my boyfriend couldn't even be in the same room without triggering aggressive behavior. I had to keep my dog separated or locked up whenever he came over. But now, the difference is incredible. My dog not only tolerates him, but they have built a genuine bond. My boyfriend can walk him, spend time with him, and I can comfortably leave them together without worrying. It's been life-changing for all of us. Jay worked patiently with our kids, ages 6,10, & 16, explaining everything clearly and stressing the importance of consistency, boundaries and confidence. He even met with us multiple times to ensure we were all ready to support our dog when he came home. Since then, the household has been calm and structured again. Walks are enjoyable now, even around other dogs—something that was nearly impossible before the training. We'd recommend TyCalJay without hesitation.
