Uncle Max Dog Trainer

I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about Max! I boarded my two dogs with him for three weeks, and from start to finish, he was absolutely incredible. My dogs have very different personalities and needs, and Max was so patient and intentional with each of them. He took the time to work with them individually as well as together, and it was obvious how much he genuinely cared about their well-being, comfort, and progress. He was incredibly thorough, communicated with me constantly, and kept me completely at ease while they were away. He also went above and beyond to accommodate an additional timing need I had, which meant so much to me. And the results? Amazing. I brought home two happy, well-loved dogs who had clearly learned so much. Honestly, I swear they miss him — and I’m pretty sure they’d happily go back without me! 😂 Max truly is magic. If you’re looking for someone who will train your dogs, care for them like they’re his own, and go above and beyond every step of the way, I couldn’t recommend him more. ❤️🐾

I can't say enough good things about Uncle Max. My sister had her dog trained by him first, and after seeing her results, I knew I wanted to work with him too. My 3-year-old Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix has had quite a journey. He was found as a stray, spent time in a kill shelter, then a sanctuary before I adopted him. Because of his background, I wanted a patient trainer who could help him build confidence and feel safe, and Uncle Max exceeded all my expectations. My dog absolutely loves his sessions with Uncle Max. He has a remarkable ability to connect with dogs and understand what they need. He is truly a dog whisperer. What sets him apart is that he does not just train your dog, he teaches you how to work with and communicate with your dog so you can continue the training at home and build a stronger relationship. I also enrolled my dog in his all-day training sessions and was impressed by the communication throughout the day. Uncle Max sent pictures and videos showing the different training exercises and concepts he was working on, which gave me valuable tools to reference and reinforce at home. Both my sister and I have been extremely happy with the results. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and effective trainer who genuinely cares about dogs and their owners, I highly recommend Uncle Max.

Max is an amazing trainer and I can not recommend him highly enough! He worked with my dog on leash walking and not pulling on the leash and I noticed a huge improvement. I also wanted my dog to improve on reactivity to other dogs and he made huge strides in this area. Max also provides detailed videos so that I can keep up with the training in between sessions, which is amazing. My dog also loves Max and enjoys the training sessions very much. I am so happy to have found Max and will definitely keep sending my dog to him!

I seriously can’t recommend Max enough. He sent twice-daily videos explaining everything he was doing and giving tips I could use, plus cute pics of my dog which I loved while he was boarding. Max really knows his stuff, especially with breed-specific behavior, and tailored everything to my longhair dachshund instead of doing a one-size-fits-all approach. He even gave me some training tools so I didn’t have to go buy them myself, which was so thoughtful. You can tell he genuinely loves dogs and focuses on building their confidence and exposing them to new things in a safe way. He even took the time to teach me why things work, not just what to do. After struggling with other trainers, this was a complete game changer and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Max has been amazing with our dog Sky, who is deaf. Training a deaf dog requires patience and a special understanding, and Max has handled it with so much care and professionalism. What we appreciate the most is that he doesn’t just train the dog, he also teaches the owners. He’s helping us understand Sky better and become better handlers for him. We’re very grateful for his work and the dedication he puts into every session. You can truly see how much he cares about the dogs he trains.
