United We Train, LLC

We told LeSandro and Sarah that they were the last hope for this dog to stay with us because we were unable to integrate him into our family. We have had several rescue dogs in the past, but we simply could not connect with Ozzie in a way that was appropriate. Any dog trainer can train a dog to respond to them and to follow commands, etc., but LeSandro made sure to train us as well. Ozzie’s training ended over a week ago. We have been to Hall Bend Park with Ozzie completely off leash several times. We have walked him through our normal neighborhood walks with absolutely no correction needed and no leash. We have played with him in the yard with absolutely no correction needed and no leash necessary. While all these things are great, the really great thing is that we have two more training sessions with LeSandro to follow up on Ozzie’s training and ours as well. In over 50 years of dog ownership this is the first time we’ve engaged a professional dog trainer. Not an easy decision ego wise. But a great decision nonetheless.

They say when we speak, God listens. My wife and I were driving to the gym and talking about training for our 4 year old westie, Woodes (pictured). "What if he could walk by our side anywhere without needing a leash?" "What if he never barked at the TV again?" "What if he could be like the dog in I Am Legend?" As I continued to come up with increasingly ridiculous situations, my wife pointed past my shoulder. Parked next to us was a vehicle advertising "United We Train TN". A few weeks later we pulled up to LeSandro and Sarah's place, one very stubborn and (allegedly..) chubby Woodes in tow. From the moment we started talking about training it was clear that LeSandro was a deeply passionate master of his craft who had deeply studied the determinants of behavior and operant conditioning. Our boy would be in very good hands, indeed. It wasn't but a few hours later that we received videos of Woodes doing things we never thought possible - heeling, staying put in specific spots, bounding forth on command. Our hearts swelled with pride at the same time we asked ourselves "will he replicate this behavior at home?" Get ready to work and be challenged! The hardest part about turning your dog into the canine companion of your dreams is becoming the owner who deserves it. LeSandro will give it to you straight and give you the exercises you need to reinforce what your pup learns with him. It's been a couple of months since "camp" and the quality of our and Woodes' life has never been better - we take him any and everywhere, often off-leash. I went into a coffee shop with him recently and was told "usually we say 'no dogs' but he's so well-behaved...I'll make an exception." Everywhere we go people say "wow, he's so well-behaved, did you train him?" I recently ran a calculation that we spend an additional 12 or so hours a week with Woodes because of his training. That's an extra 624 hours a year. I know there will be a day that I'll wish I had every single one of those hours back, and I'm so thankful LeSandro and Sarah equipped us with the tools to maximize both the quantity and quality of time we have with our boy.

I highly recommend LeSandro Guzman for training. I never owned a big dog until now and knew he needed to be under control as I couldn't pick him up if he wasn't. I did the 3 week training program where I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up in the evening M-F. He just finished the program and is excellent at following the majority of the base commands I'm continuing to work with him and refer to the homework sheets I was given to make sure he continues to obey. Charlie is a great dog and I credit LeSandro with training him (and ME!). You won't be disappointed with United We Train!!

First off, United We Train has been a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend it enough. As for my story with the program; I got a puppy, and knew I wanted to get her training. After talking with the trainor, I knew this was the place. LeSandro and his wife, Sarah, are very nice people, and answered any and all questions we had. Having the option for him to do lessons at our own home, or at his place, was great. We took 6 puppy lessons, and it completely changed the dog and how we took care of her. He was always a phone call away if we had questions, too. Furthermore, when the puppy training was finished, we did a 3 week boarding and training program. We thought the puppy training did a lot, until we did the board and train. A few days a week, we would get lessons at United We Train while she was in the program. LeSandro did such a wonderful job training her, and taught me and my family so much. While she was in training, he would send photos and videos of all the progress being made as well. Our dog is now an animal I feel is safe to take just about anywhere, and that is thanks to them. Also, United We Train has a boarding option if you've already used their program. Having the peace of mind that our dog is safe, and taken care of by someone we trust, is priceless. But as for the price, it is reasonable and worth it. My dog was boarded for 1 day while my family went on a trip, and she was not only taken care of, but she got training while there. We can't find that anywhere else, and we wouldn't want to. Any and all needs for dog training in the future will be through United We Train. If you're contemplating this program for your dog, I wouldn't worry. United We Train is a great place for your animal.

LeSandro and Sarah are amazing trainers. LeSandro worked with our 8 month Doberman Pinscher rescue for 3 weeks. He helped her learn basic commands, leash train and crated trained. He helped her gain so much confidence. He also worked with us to understand our new pup and be able to follow through with what he was teaching her. He also gave me, the first time dog owner, the confidence to handle a large breed dog. Sarah was great with sharing updates with us and helping LeSandro with the training. I know she will be a great trainer! We highly recommend United We Train. We will definitely bring another pup to them if and when we get another. Thank you so much LeSandro and Sarah!
