We get it. Your dog is a good dog but doesn’t always act like it! Maybe when you walk your dog, your dog is overly excited and dragging you down the street. Wouldn’t you love instead to impress your neighbors with how calm your dog is while you walk past their house? You want your dog to be calmer so you can enjoy yourself on walks or even off-leash hiking without feeling like your dog is trying to get away from you. And maybe you feel like your dog is just TOO much for your friends when they come over, and OH the jumping! Our mission is to provide the best quality dog training by devoting loads of time and attention to the pups in our care during their time with us all while providing you the training tools YOU need to succeed at home.

We should have absolutely done this training program sooner! Our mini labradoodle Josie is 3 years old and we did a lot of training when she was a puppy, but nothing like this. We wanted to address included jumping up, not respecting boundaries (personal space, what are her toys vs. not her toys, going after people food, etc.), walking without pulling, and ideally off leash recall all before our first baby arrived. Josie is very smart and just using reward-based training created “doorbell behavior” where she would do something bad knowing we would come with a treat to correct it. Implementing Virginia’s program, which focuses on teaching dogs to make better decisions eventually without treats, has been game changing. We have seen a huge improvement in Josie in all of our focus areas since she completed a board & train with Virginia and her team. They taught us how to encourage good decision making and self-soothing behaviors in Josie and how to make corrections. Josie is more confident and just as playful and happy as ever, but better behaved! Thank you to Virginia, Alayna, and Kate.
Virginia and Alayna were wonderful! Wilson had a one week stay and he came back a more behaved and obedient dog. I would recommend them to anyone and if it was possible I would send Wilson back for more training. However, I love him more now than ever, best decision we ever made!!
Virginia is extremely knowledgeable about dogs’ behaviors. In just 3 lessons she helped my Sam so much.
