Excellent!! To start off, I'm picky with my services and products. We'd been searching for a few months and we ultimately landed on this company with Derek, based on his professional history with a police K9s. (They do 1000x the training standard dogs do, so we figured why not). Our pup went into reactive to other dogs, birds, leaves and other things small things. He knew basic commands but, if we were outside it's as if we didn't exist to our pup. After a 2 week board and train, we came back to a well trained puppy. All behaviors corrected. Derek CLEARLY establishes a bond with each individual dog and treats them well. Our pup loved him! He's got a nice property to work any type of dog and is genuine, honest, and cares about training your dog. His plans are specific to what your needs are, and you leave with a plan after. He offers training and boarding in the future (for pennies) if you use him for initial training. Well worth the money. If you want a less stressful puppy or just give your pup the confidence he needs to improve his life, go with Unleashed K9 academy. Highly recommend. I wouldn't post this if it wasn't worth it.

AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! Derek did a great job training our Doberman Lily. It was amazing how well behaved she came home . She had a bad habit of jumping and came home much calmer and attentive . She hardly jumps up at all !!! 😄Her walking on a leash improved 100%!! You can definitely tell the bond that was shared between the 2 of them in 2 short weeks. It was money well spent and we would highly recommend him! We are thrilled with the changes, we couldn’t be happier !

My husband and I *highly* recommend Unleashed K9 Academy for board and train. We did research for weeks trying to find the right place to send our working line German Shepherd, and if we could go back and do it again we would always choose Unleashed. Derek knew exactly how to interact with our dog and on the day we dropped him off we left feeling very comfortable and informed. Our questions were all answered in an honest and straightforward way and we never felt judged for the mistakes we may have been making with our dog. Derek is a knowledgeable, confident, and very talented trainer. Our German Shepherd walked in with very reactive behavior, especially toward other dogs. He left with the ability to literally walk circles around other dogs and keep his focus on his handler. We genuinely appreciated the time Derek took to train us as well! We were grateful to have someone watch how we interacted with our dog and help us to adjust our actions/reactions in order to maintain what our dog learned as well as to continue building on the strong foundation that was laid. Thank you Derek and your family for the time you took to help our best friend. This is life changing for all of us!
