Our dog Finn had an excellent time in his 4 week board and train. Finn was unable to be around new dogs or new people without barking, aggression, or anxiousness. He also had a hard time listening to basic commands. After we picked Finn up, we were able to sit at a park and be right next to people without reactive. He also is able to listen so much better and we can take him on walks with 0 worry about other people or dogs. I would highly recommend sending your dog here for boarding or behavior modification. The Unleashed K9 team was fantastic working with our 5-year-old rescue, who has a history of reactivity to other dogs on walks and to delivery people coming to our door. We are very pleased with the results of the four-week board-and-train program. We brought her home a few days ago, and she has been great on walks around the neighborhood—even when encountering dogs that previously would have triggered leash pulling, barking, or lunging. Now she stays near us (in heel, or even off-heel) rather than lunging toward other dogs. Her behavior in the house with delivery people has also been fantastic. It used to be a bit of a free-for-all at the front door, but now her reaction is minimal to none, and we are able to reinforce going to her “place” when the doorbell rings or someone knocks. Kenneth was very helpful and informative when we started looking for a training program and making the decision to enroll her. Emily, our dog’s trainer for the program, did a fantastic job! She provided videos and updates a couple of times each week. The videos included clear explanations of the training she was doing along with tips and tricks for us to use once our dog was back home. The “go-home” training, when we picked up our dog, was extensive and informative. Emily walked us through all of the training she had done, made sure we understood how to continue and reinforce it at home, and answered all of our questions. We also had a follow-up session with Emily today, where she answered additional questions that came up since bringing our dog home and helped “train” us on how to continue working with her at home and around the neighborhood. Our dog was sad when Emily left after the follow-up session, which really shows the bond they built during the program. All in all, we are very happy with our newly trained dog and deeply appreciate the great work of Emily, Kenneth, and the entire Unleashed K9 team!

I took my 5 month old German Shepherd to Unleashed K9 for the 3 week board and train program and it was the best decision for her. Before I signed her up Kenneth answered all my questions I had and gave me advice on how to even tackle things of concern at home right then and there. I liked the way they set up their training program and how you get updated on the dogs progress with photos and or videos each week. Franny came back with structure and seems happier now that she has a “job” to do. She was always eager to learn and seems to be even more so now! She can now walk on leash with ease and she is almost to the point of walking off leash too. She listens to commands like staying off the couch or waiting on her “place” until I release her etc. Her trainer Emily was amazing. At pick up she made sure I was understanding how to continue her training at home and would answer any questions or concerns I had in detail. Will be recommending them whenever I can. I will definitely be coming back with any future dogs I get! Thank you Emily, Kenneth and the whole team!
